Michigan has re-offered David Dawson and he will visit December 14
I could have been a Rhodes Scholar, except for my grades. -Duffy Daugherty
It would blow for us but at the same time show how little integrity their staff actually has. They'll have gona back on their word twice in one year. They look like fools letting frank the felon Clark out on the field and reoffering Dawson after putting on such a fucking production about it? How comical.
Funny. So much for Hoke having principles in recruiting. What a phony. Trying now to prevent Dawson going to a rival (he was fine back when he thought Dawson was going to FL). Hopefully Dawson sees through this. UM fans did a fair amount of trashing of Dawson when he first decommited. Wonder how that story gets spun now in Ann Arbor.
This is how...
TomVH: OL David Dawson had a "heart-to-heart" with Brady Hoke tonight and was re-offered by Michigan: http://t.co/u1BL6s6L
Cool, can't read it though.
Tom VH is a piece of shit right now. He's also the catalyst behind the drake Harris stuff. A heart to heart? Their fanbase has trashed that poor kid and so have their writers. Those guys are phonies. It's a complete joke and I can't wait to pound their faces on the field next year. Tyler O'connor throws for 5 Td's you heard it here first.
I was just talking about the "heart-toheart" lol
I heard it here in post #35 first:
But I will reward your forward, progressive thinking.
I know we still have the bowl game to go but figured I would ask the question. How do you see the 2 deep going into next season. I know ther
Who cares what their writers and fanbases have done.. Ours did the same thing to Caleb B earlier this year and would do the same thing if smoke started rising up from Shane Jones or Reschke.
What Dawson has done is shown a way for any relatively good recruit at UM to dodge the no-visit policy.
- Do what you want to do and disregard what the coaching staff tells you
- After you're done looking around, feign interest in UM's biggest rivals
- Wait for opportunity to talk to head-coach
- Be re-offered.
You have missed the point. There is no "no-visit" policy. Never existed. Hoke clearly pressures people to commit (playing time, etc., which, ironically, Dawson would have a MUCH better chance of playing time at MSU than UM), then threatens a "policy" that we now see is not enforced. Credit Hoke for convincing numerous recruits to buy it. But he's clearly not upfront with recruits.
Not a huge recruitnik but there's a blurb about him in the latest ESPN the Mag (print journalism, outdated info) and GODDAMN is this kid a good looking player. Dude is draft worthy solely based on a still pic from a combine.
Hoping he goes green.
Anyone have cliff notes from todays scout article updating his Michigan recruitment?
Drama....pure drama with this recruitment.
Yes and it's now the second OL recruit we've played a bit part in a large, confusing, and slowly unfolding drama. The scout article was a Sam Webb deal and you know how those go. It was pretty pro michigan but he was suggesting that he may re-commit to michigan on his visit on the 14th or maybe wait and take the rest of his December visits but he made it sound like none of the January visits happen. Which, to me, sounds odd because certainly his original school re-offering is a big deal but why would take visits to the two other schools who were presumably 2nd and 3rd and pass on a visit to a school you recently, as in late last week, named your leader in MSU. Bottom line, who knows?
On his twitter a while back he said he was going to commit late December early January. So I do see what you mean by that.
His twitter activity has been all go blue lately. If we are going to get him it's going to take some real recruiting magic
His twitter is all over the place, I wouldn't pay any attention to that.
Nothing to get too serious about... sure it would be fun to get a recruit from scUM after they are begging to have him back. In the end it's pure drama for the topic alone and I can't see putting faith into him going green no matter how hard the spin goes. He'll most likely recommit to scUM. Why exhaust yourself on 'would have... could have... should have...'
Time to focus on more realistic recruits... such as Peko or reading CBD's posts. He's probably the most in the know and looks like one of the most legit posters on this forum when it comes to MSU.
I would agree. The twitter stuff is him reaching out and testing the waters with the recruits who roasted him on twitter when he de-commited in the first place. Whether or not he gets along with the rest of the kids in the class is a big deal as far as team chemistry and some of them, not all of them, but some, just like 80% of their fanbase turned on him during his time of confusion. If he gets to MSU for an official he'll no doubt be surrounded by guys who genuinely want him there. This all just happened in the last 30 days. I'm not emotionally invested enough to get so pumped as to say we had him two weeks ago prior to scUM re-offering. If we get him, total icing on the cake, if we don't, so be it. It doesn't change the fact that I think their staff and fanbase have acted like spoiled brats and if I were him, which I'm not, that would weigh heavily into my decision making process.
Well a lot is going to have to fall in place for him to come to MSU. I would be shocked if he even visited.
While I tend to agree, I'm still at least hoping that seeing one of his boys say "thanks but I'm good" to Jackson yesterday is a step in the right direction.
Finley mentioned he's waiting on his OV until Dawson takes his to MSU. Friends tend to wield powerful influence. Dennis wanted to blaze his own path, maybe Dawson will head towards the light as well. Amen.
It is his decision to make. MSU, UM, tOSU??? Good luck to him.
