Any credence to the rumors that he may have committed? Trieu said no. Have we even offered him?
He doesn't have an offer yet
No offer yet.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Hill was considering making a pledge to MSU today but he was not extended an offer.
Do you think he'll get one? I know Powell is a S but could probably project to multiple positions. Do you think we hold out on Antonio Allen or another elite DB prospect before we offer Hill?
This kid is important for reasons beyond the direct contributions he could make to the team.
Him coming to MSU immediately helps us (at least a little) with most/all Cass Tech recruits for 2013-2014, particularly those that Hill is closest to.
Not to mention the minutes that he contributes himself.
I really want this kid, but ultimately trust in the reasoning of the coaching staff if they don't offer him.
laconophilia is everywhere...
I refuse to get my hopes up on a CT kid coached by Wilcher.
I agree with almost every point emphatically. However, if Hill had a commitable offer he'd be in the bag already. We already have jalyn powell and are hoping for Hicks at the other of the two db schollies.
I'm quite certain blanket statements don't apply to individual athletes. Just think how many times have people on this board been proven wrong about never securing recruits from TX, etc.

things have changed. UM couldnt possibly take all the d1 athletes that go to Cass Tech now. Yes Wilcher might push the kids he deems the best prospects UM's way, but as skip alluded we could have had Hill already if the staff offered.
For 2014 Cass could have 4 d1 LBs. Deon Drake, William White, Gary Hosey and Stan Smith. Since the MSU friendly coaches at other PSL schools got fired every kid ends up at Cass. How can UM even take 3 of them?
They barely have room for two this year.
So tell us about the most recent recruit from CT.
It's too bad some of these high school football coaches can have such an effect on these guys recruitment ( cincy moeller's coach, Cass tech coach, etc).
There aren't any from CT. That doesn't mean much on March 14, 2012, though. I point to Robertoo's comment above. ScUM will not recruit nationally as it does, yet continue to take 3 guys from CT each year. Someone will be there to swoop up the Delano Hill's.
MSU recruiting is changing, as is it's main competitor's. Cycles end, blanket statements get tossed in the garbage.
I'll toss it when a CT kid commits to MSU.
It will happen. There are probably several former Cass students on campus now.
It is a reality of recruiting and something MSU has benefited from as well.

Probably CT students here??? Atleast 5 each year. So these players have friends that go here. When I was a freshman I knew a lot of CT people.
Class of 2010
The school historically split evenly btw MSU and UM.
It doesn't get mentioned when mom or dad are alumni Does the coach have more influence than mom or dad?
Keep the thread on Hill. I'm going to wipe out the whole "which HS coaches send players where". You guys can pick it up in the main recruiting thread.
I honestly think Hill is pretty good, but looks like MSU has guys higher and will land those guys.
Michigan already has 3 DB's, and if they go to 4 my guess is that it'll be for a guy higher on their board as well.
I am going to guess Illinois or Iowa for him.

Committed to Iowa today. Will join fellow Detroit Cass players Ruben Lile and Laron Taylor.
Good for him. Kind of a bummer that the guy wanted a MSU offer and never got it, but nice to see him land at a BT school. Hope he does well.
