Not sure how to read this. It does sound like WVU is fading.
Delton Williams gives Nebraska another official visitor for the weekend. Find out what he hopes to see this weekend.
U gotta be VIP and pay $$$$ like the rest of us! #spartandawg4life
I meant I do not know how to read his comments.
Region 6 Roundup: Cathedral Prep uses big plays to rout St. Francis
ATHOL SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Damion Terry completed 12-of-15 passes for 280 yards and five touchdowns as Cathedral Prep rolled past St. Francis (N.Y.) in a 69-0 non-region victory.
Delton Williams scored on rushing and receiving plays, as well as a school-record 99-yard interception return for a touchdown.
video at second link shows the pick 6. Also a couple of nice stops by Williams. Williams is #5 Terry is #6

We all know that MSU has Williams' Cathedral teammate and quarterback Damion Terry already committed for the 2013 class. I believe it is pertinent to note that Nebraska has defensive line coach Rick Kaczenski — who graduated from Cathedral — handling Williams’ recruitment. Both dogs in this two team hunt For Delton Williams' services have Cathedral Prep connections.
Williams on visiting Nebraska this weekend...“I really just want to get there and get a feel for the school. It’s a long way from home and I need to know if I am going to be comfortable there or not."
Erie, PA to MSU approx 5 hour drive
Erie, PA to Lincoln, NE approx 14-15 hour drive
Jesus, you talk about a man amongst boys. That clip is rediculous. Delton is in on every play. With his frame and build he looks ready right now.
Damion terry tweeted that there might be some good news after the osu game... Probably a Delton commit?
Coach D still has some things he wants to discuss with Williams in person when he visits.
If Coach D feels comfortable with what he hears from Williams, then Coach D would accept Delton's commitment.
Duffy - Can we assume that the discussion with Coach D would be primarily about Delton's "legal" issues a few months back ?
The past legal issues will be part of the discussion.
Coach D will want to hear some assurances of where Williams is at now in his personal life and scholastic progress. If Coach D reads that Williams is really a good character kid then a commitment could be imminent. Also making sure Williams is not hanging around with the "wrong crowd". Coach D wants to make sure that Williams will be a good addition to the Spartan family.
The last thing Coach D wants is another Onaje Miller type situation.
Ok, so Mr. Williams was just interviewed on the news in Erie. It was basically a "pre-commitment" interview. They asked him what he liked about East Lansing, all that kind of stuff. He was talking about the team as "we", he's friends with Demetrius Cox and wants to play early. Take it for what it's worth.
edit: but I'm sure what CBD is true, just because a guy plans on committing doesn't mean both sides see it that way. I'm just relaying what I saw.

It's not all up to Williams. The ball is in Coach D's court now.
If Coach D determines that Williams is a good fit for MSU, then he will accept a commit from Williams.
So what's the update?
Delton tweeted that he will know by the end of the week
The talk going into the weekend was that he was commiting while on campus. I wonder who needed another minute to thing about it, us or him?
Hopefully, not Nebraska.
He said his top 2 are MSU and Virginia. Nebraska is out of it now.
Virginia? Where did that come from? I've followed his recruitment pretty closely and was never of the opinion they were in it the least bit. Was this recent?
Looks like he's excited to commit...
@WilliamsDelton: Been waiting for this week since 2009!
Whoops, meant WVU.
Had me for a second
Everything I had read indicated WVU was out of it, and MSU and Nebraska were the final two. It's funny now that he's tweeted MSU and WVU as the final two. Just goes to show how much guesswork the media is printing. Interesting that 247 has MSU as warmer and no other school more than cool. I'm glad to hear Nebraska has been eliminated, although apparantly there is still another contender. And one that is close to home, to boot.

Delton, Damion Terry and some tall guy.
Quote from 247 'eer(short for Mountaneer for anyone who didn't know) Sports staff member Chris Anderson 3 months ago in response to Williams' interest in WVU.
"The issue with Williams (as I detailed last week) is that he says he will commit to Michigan State if they'll take him.
Right now, I'm not sure who will take him because of his little run-in with the law earlier this summer."
