CBD, does Roushar leaving hurt us with Allen?
Not gonna freak out about that unless he's got another brother we don't know about playing there.
Too soon to say. Roushar does have a relationship with the Allen family.
Since Roushar left for the NFL, I don't think this is a negative to the Allen family. Will be interesting to see who takes over Allen's recruitment for MSU. Could be Mark Staten.
If Staten takes over that's got to be a good thing...
laconophilia is everywhere...
Staten was the main recruiter for a few of our top guys this year.... I don't see this being a issue...
Wow he beat a 6'7" 275lb 2013 OT named Andrew Geers in the final to win 4-2.
Yeah, they were both undefeated.
Congrats big guy.
Yeah I wrestled in high school and understand that, but a lot of times with the bigger heavyweights and their long reach it was harder for some of the shorter stockier guys to score points if the bigger guy stalled and wrestled not to lose.
Just an impressive run to the title.
Wow Congrats to Brian. I've said it a ton but I believe Brian is the most important get for us on the OL this year. He's literally the cornerstone.
Yeah Skip would be great if he becomes the ring leader for the OL recruits and the Core6 guys.
Sorry...I didn't mean to insult. Was intended to be more like...Leverage, baby!
Brian Allen not too happy with Drake Harris . sounds good for us
@bcallen65: Commit v.- carryout, perpetrate, or pledge to a certain course. that definition has #changed
I've always liked what I read about this kid...seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Hopefully he will commit soon and help kill the disappointment of the Harris decommit...
I always try not to read into tweets from high school kids, but I have to admit, this is pretty interesting. Either he is a kid bothered by someone not doing the right thing, or he's developed some serious allegiance to the program and just hasn't pulled the trigger yet.
Well clearly he takes the idea of committing very seriously. But I think he has an affinity for MSU because of his brother and Roushar where he wouldn't want to see the program get disrespected like that regardless of what school he might be favoring. I wouldn't read too much into it.
Edit: And looking at his twitter just now, he mostly talks about Wisconsin.

So if he commits I guess MSU can count on him keeping his commitment. BURN
Damn I'd like to get this kid in the fold ASAP.....I assume Bollman has been in contact. Can't hurt to meet up with Brian and his parents with that championship ring on. Pretty nice list of olinemen he's coached that are in the league now too: fingers crossed.
Kids like Brian give me hope for brighter days in the recruiting world. Good to see he has a great head on his shoulders.

Visiting wisky again this weekend
Visiting with his teammate Ian Bunting, a tight end prospect who was just offered by scum and Oregon. Thought we may have offered by now but it seems the staff if being very selective w tight end recruiting. I think it would help us with Allen as well.
I know Brian loves MSU. But how many of these type of kids have we had say in a round about way we lead, and then continue to take visits over and over until someone else impresses them more. I'm starting to feel like you never really lead for a kid if he keeps scheduling visits. I've gone from confident to hopeful on this one.
Our offense blew last year, true, but is Arky or Ole Miss an upgrade? I don't know about that.
Sounds from the article that he really loved Bielema and they led before he left. It sounds like he would've committed to them but the thought of playing DT was holding him back.
