this just doesn't feel like a UM "slam dunk" to me. This is starting to feel like a Ron Johnson recruitment. UM guys all said Johnson was a lock to UM for months and months. Eventually USC finished first, MSU second for him. This has the feel of one of those recruitments to me.
But with us finishing first
Has this kid said if he plans on making it to SS for the Boise or Notre Dame game? I imagine he will be on hand in AA this year to watch our defense go off. That will only help.
He just showed up to practice with all MSU gear on.................
@AllenTrieu: Malik McDowell just showed up to practice. Has all MSU stuff on."
C'mon Malik, you know you want to Go Green!
Not a slam dunk by any stretch of the imagination. His recruitment will be hard fought for any team who wants to land him. National powerhouses might come into play when they inevitably offer, but ultimately I think he either ends up at Michigan or with you guys. I'm obviously really hoping for the former, as he will be a man among boys by the time he gets to college.
Very cool !
Sure does make a difference when a Detroit kid isn't from CT & Wilcher isn't able to run interference for SCum.
Sounds great, Skip. MSU has lost these recruitments in the past ... but this is a different MSU. So who knows?
Thx for the info. The Tide is turning on this 14' class
MSU practice or his high school practice?
You capitalized "Tide." Why are you rooting for Bama in 2014 Skip?
Wait, let me get this right, he's at practice, RIGHT NOW?...wow...
iPhone spell check is the ducking worst
My question is, is he at practice, right now?

His high school practice, yes.
Its nice he's wearing state gear, but remember Jaylon Smith was spotted with a MSU hat on before he committed to ND.
Class of 2010
McDowell may have originally been leaning towards scum, but after he visited us, it changed things. If he really wanted to go there, he would have committed by now. He's had every opportunity to do so and I'm sure they're pressuring him to commit. I honestly think he ends up in green. The longer this drags out, the more confident I get.
The 2014 class just feels different for some reason. It's probably because we have a top 100 guy committed so early, but I can't help but feel it's going to be special.
I can see Drake Harris in his ear about winning multiple B1G titles and competing for national championships.
This is incorrect. Malik and his dad have said from the start they will take their time. Michigan had the early lead, and MSU has made up ground. ND is making a strong push, and I see them as an option for him. USC is one I would also watch out for when they offer.

Trieu just said that Malik is absolutely NOT the UM lean that most people try to lead you to believe
