From a recent Steve Lorenz interview:
Harris has seen interest from Alabama, who recently offered, and Florida, Ohio State, Notre Dame and USC among others. His recruitment is going national already, but Michigan's in-state status is something that appeals to him too.
"I like the fact that I can possibly stay in-state and play for a program like Michigan," Harris said. "I'm not saying distance is going to be a big factor in my recruitment, but having top programs around home to choose from is something I'm considering."
With Michigan's move to the pro-style offense, they've already started to recruit players that are similar physically to Harris. He likes that, and also the possibility of playing with Shane Morris, Michigan's highly heralded 2013 commitment at quarterback.
"Shane is a great quarterback," he said. "I got to throw with him a lot at their camp this summer and really enjoyed it. He has an excellent arm. As far as Michigan's offense goes, I do think it fits me perfectly and that's something I'm considering as well."
Thought that was an article from last week?
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
I think it was Thursday or Friday, but it appeared as a clickable option in their 2014 top targets article which came out I believe today. There is of course a thread on it and Harris and as you may have guessed, he's decomitting and going to um according to them. I'm honestly glad we don't have someone like Lorenze constantly pumping out homer slanted articles about the same topic. Dude has done two interviews and asks the same question every time. "Would it be awesome to play with Shane Morris? And is um's new Pro Style offense a good fit for your style?" Joke. This kid is going to do what he's going to do and it's out of our control as fans. I'm not going to obsess about it for the next year.
Right now, each time I come to tDuff and see "MSU Verbal" next to his name, I smile. Hope we hang on and it seems like the staff is doing everything they can.
that would be great if we're the only university that allows early enrollees....unfortunately, it really means nothing...
Yeah, the only thing that really tells me is that there is a 0% chance he regains interest in playing college basketball. If he had any desire to he'd certainly play his senior season of hoops.
If nothing else, it would cut his recruitment shorter. Instead of signing in February, he'll enroll around December. That can't hurt us, considering we're the ones fighting to keep the commitment solid.
Blast, that's a good point.
laconophilia is everywhere...
Also a good point.
That was my first thought. If he stays with us then it's less time this board will have to freak out and embarrass themselves, heh. There will be less time to comment on it and less of a circus leading up to NSD.

Also, summer classes could potentially reduce the amount of time other coaches have to recruit him. As the saying goes, bad things happen when kids get bored. Lol.
Kurelic says that Drake is visiting Ohio State this weekend.
"BCastOZone Brandon Castel
MSU commit. RT @jbook37 4 Star WR Drake Harris is visiting Ohio State this weekend courtesy of Bill Kurelic of Bucknuts."
Well, we can look forward to the article from Bill on Monday how great the visit went
It's their big JR weekend. They've also got SO invited as well. Damon Webb is taking all the 15' guys from CT down there too. Urban will most definitely let him know his offer is "commitable"
Yeah, Trout is on his way there too.
.....on a serious note: '13 is huge for this program. We have a legit shot with DH if we can show him and others our offensive clown show in '12 was an aberration. WIn 9-10 games and play O$U and $Cum very tough and/or beat them and we're in business. A repeat of '12 will be pretty damaging IMO.

No o$u on schedule next year so that should be an easy get.

You're forgetting about the B1G Championship Game.
