signing day for basketball for harris is irrelevant as he would have to sit out a football season and play basketball first...he'll be on a football scholarship no matter where he goes, at least that seems to be the conclusion most people have come to
Might as well get all the free bball games he can.
Although I agree totally with you, I think many people will take one look at Braxton Miller's stats(especially QB rating and yards per pass) and think you are incorrect about Miller's skillset and maybe even Meyer's offense. I hope we have someone who can effectively impress upon Drake and any other prospective WR recruits what you and I both know to be true.

I would much rather watch MSU/OSU than um vs illini though
Watching UM v. IL so close to the insanity of the Breslin center will be quite a contrast. UM should have strong coffee on tap for fans to stay awake during that game.
I'm with you, but I'm sure he'll be considering things other than the excitment level at the BB games when deciding where to play FB. I hope he gets a good look at artists renderings for his future locker space and interview room( 'cause he'll definitely be doing plenty of those) in soon-to-be updated by 20 million dollars Spartan Stadium.
I guarantee Urban saw what happened to UofM on Tuesday and thought to himself "no.. let's reschedule that visit".
Funny that crossed my mind as well- watching Pound Green Pound on the bball court probably freaked him out.
Drake visited scUM yesterday and took the obligatory locker room pic in the jersey.
Edit: he probably did it just to stir up controversy and the end stay commited to us. Is that what the sunshine blowers want to hear?

Downvotes for bringing bad news? This board is a joke.!next time I'll only post news positive for MSU instead of truth.

pretty much....I give Coach D' and IZzo all the credit in the world for putting up with this high school horse shit. Coaching the talent is hard enough.....assembling it is a PISSER these days.
Here's an article for those who are interested.
Grand Rapids (Mich.) Christian Top100 receiver Drake Harris has been to Michigan several times in the past, but this weekend was his first-ever football recruiting trip.
He wasn't obligated to take that pic, he chose to. Shame on him for doing so. He is making our staff look like a joke, and I for one, don't think Dantonio deserves that.

Read it already. I can promise you he's not going to um. He may not end up at MSU but I still think there is less than a 5% shot he goes blue. Nothing in that article that's leads me to believe that. Don't think he makes the return game in fact.
laying in the weeds
I hope you got some inside info on that one skip. Not saying I don't believe you but their fan base is acting as if he committed to them. I also hate the position that he has no leaders( per ESPN article) but is committed to us.

He said a few weeks ago that he had no leader...if anything, it is good that he said UM was not leading after his visit. He says good things about every school and I would actually concur that UM is not the threat that OSU and BAMA are.
Moral of the story though is that he 90% uncommitted. The fact he still says he is does make me think he ever so slightly still favors us.
When was the last time a kid visited them and gave an interview that their fanbase wasn't 100% convinced they're a lock?
He's doing a scout view right now. They're claiming its a FULL interview. We'll see if its more blue wall or they're going to ask a least a question or two about why he likes MSU. Most likely it'll be all questions about when he's going to decommit and sign on with scUM or tOSU.
If you ask me I think we're starting to see some spotlight seeking behavior from a kid who seemed so humble and laid back originally.
I agree with you on the attention seeking. I was hoping for some inside info for your post of less than 5% chance he ends up at UM.
No I don't know the kid at all. It's just pretty far fetched that a kid would decommit from his childhood team and end up at their in-state rival. That's a stretch. And yes, I realize the Ruben Foster did it but it never happens.
For all the doom and gloom over here, it's worth mentioning that Sam Webb, a Michigan insider, stated earlier today that MSU is still the team to beat. Whereas other schools need to build relationships, trust, etc., Dantonio & co. just need to maintain it, which he stated was a HUGE advantage.
Not really much doom and gloom. Just a couple of the usual suspects acting like they got dumped when they asked a girl out (only one or two guys).
After reading through some of the articles; honestly, it just seems to me that he's loving the attention and the free visits. He didn't get this much attention the first time around and hes taking advantage of it, because its probably going to be the only time in his life he'll be getting this much good attention. Not to mention all the free basketball games. I'd probably do the same.
Can you blame him? He's a 17 year old kid, with every Recruiting/ Arm chair analyst in the country trying to get interviews, while hes trying to be a kid. Not to mention, full grown adults trying to talk to him everyday on Twitter and Facebook . I know if i was getting that much attention at that age, i would do the same thing.
