Yeah, you and I are on the same page I think. The bottom line is that this whole situation (comments included) hurt MSU in more than one way, which sucks.

GULL LAKE, Mich. -- Spartan Tailgate caught up with 2014 WR Drake Harris following his playoff game Monday, as he discussed his decision to decommit from Michigan State.
After the huge offers came in he decided right then and there to make up his mind that he was not signing with MSU so there was really nothing they could have done to get him to keep his commitment no matter what they did and the fact we stopped recruiting him is evidence of this.
He had all that interest from those "big" schools prior to his commitment to us. Those coaches were constantly telling him he was too good to end up at MSU, which is garbage. The only difference is when he decided to focus on footba he started listening to those idiots. If he's truly focused on a NC then he's headed out of conference. If anyone has seen Bama play, and I know you have, no one in this conference is anywhere near ready to take on their best. UM? Not even close. tOSU? No shot at this point.
Fare thee well, except when playing MSU, Drake.
Skip: I shot you a PM....check it out bro.
Pure ignorance. The kid would never have committed to us in the first place if he knew at the time he would only play football in college. You claimed in another thread that this was all because our staff got outworked - that is absurd and you have no proof of that. It was an uphill battle the whole time after he decided to focus on football. I'm sure our staff did their best.
He should have never committed that early in the first place.
spot on stinky.....

AllenTrieu: Drake Harris says #MichiganState once again in consideration.
AllenTrieu: Drake says talking to Coach Dantonio again is what has #MSU back in it
Certainly didn't expect that. Hopefully he recognizes we have just as much (if not more) to offer than these other schools.
I don't want to get excited because I don't expect him to come here, but it can't hurt to have him at practice, where guys on the team can work on getting him to recommit. I mean, I know contact with them before, but I wonder how much he's spoken with players from MSU since he decommitted.
Some texting with Izzo and some Facebook messaging with Mark Dantonio helped convince Harris to give MSU another chance, he said.
Drake it just hurt so much the first time... I don't know if I can just forget about all the things you said...
Soufflé, I'm straight, I scrape my plate/,Sade, I'm a smooth operator... I DROP TOP MY WHIP!
This is why we shouldn't have been bashing the kid. I for one will welcome Drake back with open arms.
There's an anchorman one liner in there somewhere
Via his Twitter, Drake Harris will visit MSU for the spring game on April 20.
Good.. He's spending the night at UM on saturday, so it's a sign he's not looking to commit anytime soon..
Time is our best friend in a situation like this.. Hopefully show off our QB's and WR's at the spring game.. let him think about it a bit.
It would be nice if him and Durkin hit it off. It would also be nice if MSU can lock up Watkins in May. Not only would we get a phenomenal player, we'd also get additional ammo with Drake.
Watkins + Durkin could be a pretty solid recruiting combo for Drake. A slinger and another WR to keep defenses honest. And all within the one class. Nevermind that the class right in front of them has Damion Terry, Delton Williams, and Trey Kilgore too.
laconophilia is everywhere...
Will Durkin be there as well? That would help out a lot
Harris enjoyed his OSU visit, as expected.
FWIW, Kurelic thinks it's between UM/OSU/MSU.
Kurelic’s Comment: Harris is a difference maker the Buckeyes would love to have. I think his decision ultimately comes down to Ohio State, Michigan or Michigan State, and I definitely think the Buckeyes have a shot.
WR Drake Harris made his much anticipated visit to Ohio State and came away saying among other things, “I love this place.” STORY UPDATED AT 9:35 EST WITH ADDITIONAL QUOTES.
