ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......yeah, because I'm SURE no other major programs would've recruited him on the gridiron and offered....gimme a break guys: so Izzo and MSU found him early: so what? As the $EC and O$U have proven, it's a marathon, not a sprint.
Um, no. WTF are you talking about? Pittman was an Ohio kid who flipped after receiving an OSU offer (IIRC). Benenoch never visited MSU at any point. This has absolutely no relation to either of those situations, so I don't know WTF you're talking about. Harris committed to MSU before he really blew up. Had he waited, he would have had all the attention that he's getting now (and he's getting it anyway). There is nothing about a "fall-back" plan here.

"Asked how Michigan State fans should feel about his commitment, Harris said: “That I’m committed right now, and I’m solid right now. I wouldn’t go to the point to say that I’m going to change my mind and go to a different school. Like I said, I’m committed to them."
Sounds a lot like someone trying to convince himself of something. Whether he stays convinced is anther story....
Kid likes basketball way more than football.
This is true from all accounts I've heard.
People need to chill the fuck out. The kid is being a kid, I don't think he expected this kind of publicity. Let's wait and see before just freaking out and jumping to conclusions.
Didn't see this on here yet, but he tweeted this like an hour ago... It's a 2 part tweet
"@drizzygetbusy01: For everyone that is wondering what's going on... I'm still committed to Msu but I'm planning on just playing football in college so"
"@drizzygetbusy01: I'm opening my recurring back up but I have no Decommited from Msu just starting to look at more schools."
FML.....I'm opening my recurring back up but I have no Decommited from Msu just starting to look at more schools."....Enough said....
Pretty sure Josh Slagter is a big time wolverine fan... But I don't see how anyone can say Michigan is a big football program in the present day. They have been mediocre for most of the last decade.
I really don't think Michigan's the threat here.
Well his dad loves UM... So there is that.
But honestly, UofM football has been a joke. Shane Morris was WAY over rated. This season showed they were a fluke. So I tend to side with you. I think the SEC teams like BAMA and FLORIDA are the real threat.
OSU, like Michigan, doesnt run a pass-heavy offense. Drake will see that when he starts to look around. Even with Maxwell, we still had a better passing offense. I think when we hand the keys over to a new QB, the elite athleticism in our WR core is going to shine. Drake is going to want to line up with these guys. Kings, Burbrige, Madaris, and Harris.
You cant touch that.
theonlycolors.com made some solid arguments why MSU is still a great fit for Harris. Another one they didn't cover is that Terry, the incoming 2013 QB that will likely redshirt and get on the field with Harris, also had record breaking passing numbers and is another rising star that would be perfect to pair up with.
Harris is NFL bound regardless of where he goes, he's that good, (though MSU has a long history of incredible WR). You look at the best NFL wr right now and he went to georgia tech. I think the choice will be between having a better chance of winning with OSU, but just being another notch on Urban's belt, or trying to elevate the home school to a higher status and being a bigger part of their history than you could ever be playing for Urban at OSU (like a Magic Johnson or a Cleaves did for MSU basketball).
I like your optimism but reading between the lines of what he said, I think the writing is on the wall with him. I would be surprised if he remained committed. Hope i'm wrong

Folks are reporting Michigan coaches are at his bball game
He was at the game tonight and seemed to have a good time. He got the solo tour around the court by Dantonio as he was taking him in at half time. The Izzone chanted his name and he has been retweeting MSU people all night. He did also retweet everyone's favorite scorned kicking recruit, JJ McGrath.
@drizzygetbusy01 Izzone chanted your name and all, but bro, how about your name being chanted in the biggest stadium in the world. #GoBlue
J.J., everyone's favorite psychopath, maybe he tweeted benenoch too. What a joke.
