In all seriousness we're they best team, defense, and close to his home. UK is and always will be the Indiana of the SEC. It's just a matter of this young mans preference.
They say genious' pick green.

That settles it then......he is going to Purdue.

That Mikael Horton pickup is huge. Not sure why he hasn't picked up bigger offers when he committed. He's a great looking back. A new staff always has the advantage of shedding historical perception for a season or two and they're on the honeymoon treatment right now. They've made Ohio their focus and are laying a heavy SEC pitch to those kids and going hard at the B1G. There was an article about it on UK's 247 site a couple of months ago.
I think the crystal ball owes us one.

Great day at Michigan State today! #spartans
National Recruiting Analyst
Steve, that's pretty thin from a quote standpoint.whats your gut telling you on this? Is t his buddies pulling him to UK? There really is no comparison to playing on our Defense versus going to UK.
Frey says Kentucky and MSU are even but on his profile page he has MSU as warmer and Kentucky as warm.
I could easily see MSU picking up another LB commit prior to when he makes his decision. If that was the case, I think Frey's scholly would be null and the staff would only take Nyles Morgan or Garrett if they decided to join the '14 class as the fourth LB commit.

I would say its a bit of a concern. Whether or not he's got a few friends headed there or not. Those two didn't have the opportunity to come here. The inability to position a top 5 defense and close a low 3 star is troubling to say the least.
Sorry to break it to you, but there is a 0.0000000000001% chance of Garrett coming here.
I don't really find it troubling since Kentucky was his favorite from the get go. I think that us coming into the fold only a couple days ago, and already putting that into question, is mildly encouraging. The perception of a Kentucky offer has changed substantially over the last couple months.

Actually genius's pick green.
Not even that good a chance.
Knuckles I get that and agree. However, lets be honest here. UK was the favorite and standout as the lone BCS interedt in his portfolio at the time. There is no comparison between playing at MSU and UK. This should be without question a no brainer. They've got a mildly interested fanbase and they've never, ever had any success.a third tier Stoops bro can't change that regardless of the slick pitch he's developed.

I don't think he is coming here, and I never said that.
What I was trying to convey was that if we receive another LB commit prior to Frey deciding, I could see the staff holding out on accepting a commitment and focusing on landing a top tier prospect such as Nyles Morgan who is still considering MSU as a possible destination.
I don't disagree with that, but an MSU offer hasn't proved to be anything a recruit would drop everything for either. We have won a decent amount of games, but we are still behind OSU/UM/PSU in regards to facilities, and they play a larger role then you may think. I really think that our new additions to the stadium will help increase that wow factor and help us in that regard, but until then, we have to rely of the recruiting skills of a staff that have proved to be to be mediocre to this point.
The bitter truth is that we are still not that big of a draw to recruits.
That's true but were a lot bigger draw than UK and that's the point.
I'm wondering how the staff changes affected our Ohio recruiting operation, because we are flat-lining in that state.
Seriously, what is going on at UK? Not good on either side of the ball, don't have successful seasons, don't have great facilities, and don't put a whole lot of guys into the league. All they can sell is "You can get your ass kicked by real SEC teams!" But they are right there with us in OH and beat is for a DE we wanted.
Spring football for MSU drew 22,500, Kentucky drew 50,831. They went 2-10 last year that's the point.
While I agree. To put things back into perspective Tymere Dubose was a 2 star DT and shortly afte he signed with UK we landed Enoch Smith Jr who after the entire Rivams camp series finished 6th overall in the country.
