Agreed. I would expect one of two things pretty quickly. One, an additional interview after the staff calls him where he reaffirms his commit and that's the end of it. Or, a call from the staff saying this ain't gonna happen twice, pack it in son.
He'll be here for the spring game, so you wont have to wait long.
I saw that in Dan's response. This will be interesting. My gut says nothing comes of it and he is all green.
I think he may have slipped up talking to the Badger guy and he ran with it. When I first read the quote, I read past the "if I go with them" part of it.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Agree - this kid sees what he can be at MSU and knows that there was competition for the only QB spot. I highly doubt he's seriously considering other programs at this time but probably enjoying the recruiting process nonetheless. If he's there on Saturday, I wouldn't worry about it.
was there anyone of note at this elite 11 reginal besides Durkin?
4 states of being in the cannabis society ------------
Which one are you??
He has his own thread now, but 2015 QB prospect Jon Wassink from Grand Rapids was there.
Elite 11 interview with Durkin...
Dude Literally looks like a Linebacker
Chris Durkin chats with SB Nation after the QB recruits performance at the Chicago NFTC
The Elite 11 Super Regional quarterback camp at Ohio State on Saturday will be a very good one, as many of the nation’s top quarterbacks will make their way to Columbus in hopes of earning an invite to the national event to be held in Beaverton, Ore. in late June....
-Michigan State four-star commit Chris Durkin checks in as the nation’s No. 14 pro-style quarterback according to the 247Composite.
Seven four-star quarterbacks in the 2014 class highlight Saturdays top dual-threat passer Brandon Harris.
From JC over on tBB:
Drew Barker and Caleb Henderson are spinning it pretty well and Chris Durkin continues to impress.
They are selecting the final elite 11 spots right now and there are 7 spots left. Durkin was in the top 5 of most of the Scout expert picks today. He should receive an invite pretty soon here.
This is only the Ohio regional Elite 11 right? Although IIRC last year weren't there actually 24 QBs at the "national" E11?
Yeah, this is the last regional before the Opening Elite 11. It seems they are only taking 18 this year, which I think is better and more "elite". I could be wrong though and they might be selecting up to 24 as they discuss it more?
You're right. The 24 qbs compete to be part of the "elite 11"
Last year was 24 but it looks like they are going to 18. 6 more spots left out of a pool of 17.

Out of that list i'd guess Barker, Durkin, O'Connor, Harris, Cosentino and Thorson.
Barker, Durkin, O'Connor, Harris and Cosentino seem like gimmes, but it's Trent Dilfer who is rumored to like the spotlight and will look for kids with a story or are more willing to be coached. The hard part is there is very limited reps to actually showcase their abilities with so many qb's there.
Now there are 4 spots with Manny Wilkens and Brad Kaaya was just chosen, someone is gonna get screwed.
