This is a big mea culpa, so feel free to pelt me with downvotes for this one.
I accidentally nuked all of Nitro's posts while cleaning up the Drake Harris thread. It's completely my fault, and since he started the '13 thread, the whole thing went into the ether. I've apologized to him via PM, and it was a complete screw up on my part. My apologies to everyone who posted in the '13 thread; quite literally my hand slipped and clicked the "delete all posts on site by user", which is right next to the "delete post" button. I'm trying to work with Trevor to restore it, so in the meantime, use this thread as a (horribly inadequate) replacement.
Again, I'm sorry everyone, and especially to Nitro.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Hondo Carpenter @HondoCarpenter
Michigan State Football Getting a Visit from one of the Elite 2013 DEs in the Nation: Alquadin Muhammad http://spartannation.com/2012/12/07/michigan-state-football-getting-a-visit-from-one-of-the-elite-2013-des-in-the-nation-alquadin-muhammad/ …
So Hondo claims in this title that this Don Bosco kid, who looks like a stud recruit, is going to visit. But then I read the article, and conveniently, he didn't even mention a date for a visit or if anything is set up. Anyone hear anything about this kid? Or is this just another epic fail by the ass clown Hondo?
He doesn't have an offer from MSU but interesting info indeed.
Narduzzi was working on him last I heard. I think he was in his school this week.
Edit: It says exactly, that in the article, ha.

Hondo Carpenter @HondoCarpenter
@Tesar23 He hasn't set dates for any yet.
Justin Tesar @Tesar23
@HondoCarpenter So your title on the article is completely misleading...ok then. May wanna change that.
So I asked him when he is visiting MSU, and of course, Hondo just pretty much made that up in his article title, so I called him out on it. What a joke of a "writer" this guy is.
Saw on Rivals a JuCo DE/DT from Cali, Demetrius Cherry, has an offer and is visting next weekend... anyone heard anything else?
Its actually funny that there is a button that says this on your control screen. Maybe if you made the button red, with the word NUKE on it, and then had to turn two keys, it could mitigate this problem?
It should be a completely separate button. Every "Delete Post" window pops up with a little check bock right next to the "delete post" button that says "Delete all posts on site by user". It's a great way to nuke a Nucky account of 40 posts instantly, but I've been paranoid about accidentally doing it to an innocent guy when I'm going fast (like when there's been a string of rumor posts that need to be deleted). That's what happened today and I really feel bad about it. I really with it had a "confirm" window for that check box.
I don't see what is misleading. Kid said he has MSU on his visit list, but has not yet set date.
Well, the misleading part would be when Hondo titles his article "Defensive end visiting MSU". That lends us to believe he Has already set a visit in stone and will be visiting fairly soon. Pretty clear, when there is no mention in the article about when he may visit or even possible visit dates I think that is crap writing. Hondo routinely makes asinine and fabricated statements in most of his article titles just to get people to view them.
If you think Hondo should refuse to trust a high school kid's statement of his intentions that's your prerogative, but I have no problem with the reporter taking the recruit's statement that he will be visiting MSU at face value. I don't think it is a good idea for a reporter to subjectively assume a kid is talking out his rear. Especially a recruit who has impressed so much as to have almost an entire article extolling his great character. As such, Muhammad said he is coming, so Hondo reported that he is coming. I guess an alternative headline could have been, "Defensive End claims he will be visiting MSU, but we'll believe it when we see the actual date." I doubt that would go over very well.

Doesn't matter, Muhammad's been a silent commit to Notre Lame for months.
Good stuff as usual SiP....thanks. They are both real solid kids, I like the way they carry themselves. Do you know if WIlliams got nicked last night? Someone said he did. Hopefully he's OK for the Championship game. Man, high school football in the middle of December: weird.

The announcers on the McDevitt radio feed said he went out injured during the fourth quarter following a run and then said no more. In one of the video reports he said that he had a cramp. One of the pictures show him dumping the water on the coach so it looks like he is ok.

Subject:Tweet from TweetCaster, @BillBankGreene: Should be some news coming on Donovan Munger. On OSU visit. I have him on a strong "Commitment Watch". Should h
Commit to OSU per scout.
Munger's dream school accepted his commitment, good for the kid.
PSU just got a 4-star recruit in Zayd Issah.
Alabama just offered OL David Knevel.
That's the kid we decided not to offer, right?
This one is still so puzzling to me. Holding offers from Wisconsin, Nebraska and now Alabama and the kid is barely a 4 hour drive away from EL.

Yep, and he spent 3 days (on his dime i believe) in EL with his mom, and probably would've committed had we offered. Strange.
It's definitely strange, and really somewhat disappointing. Just have to trust the coaches on this one.
laconophilia is everywhere...
It's hard to trust the coaches on not offering a kid like this when the guys who did offer him run over people every year, and we have yet to field an above average line under the current staff.
