It's all in good fun Jim. The only reason to poke the bear is because we heard nothing but this sanctimonious "doing the right thing" and "high moral character" stuff out of the um fanbase in regards to Hoke. Over the past 180 days we've seen that he's willing to do what's necessary to keep his job and win football games. It's not a terrible thing to offer kids who are commited, it's legal. Can you start a convicted felon? Sure. Can you swallow your pride and take back a kid that a staff and fanbase abandoned when he was in a fragile state? Absolutely. Just don't expect anyone, other than the local media, to cut them any slack for it.
For the record, I don't have any problem with any of these moves. I don't disrespect the guy. I think he and his staff are working their asses off. Of course, I'm of the school of thought that if you have to offer a 9th grader and jump up and down on their coffee table begging and pleading on an in home visit, you do it if you need the guy.
I think people underestimate what it takes to run a big time football program. You can't sit idle as good players pass you by simply to appease your fan base. If a player can help your team then you take a chance on getting him. At the end of the day, there's too much money on the line to believe the coaches won't do whatever it takes to win. Anyone who believes Hoke is different, that he wouldn't blur moral lines for victories, is living in a fantasy land. If you're winning then nobody cares.
tldr: I agree with you.

Wisconsin commit Marcus Ball is visiting Michigan this weekend. He was the "secret visitor" that Michigan fans were speculating would be Jalyn Powell.

David Dawson and Delano Hill commit to Michigan.
Get ready for another 'Gush fest' from all of the fan boys about their brain washing summit in Ann arbor today.
OR you can move on like I am.

Not surprising. I wish them well.
I can't remember the last time MSU had a QB prospect with the prep pedigree of Terry (performance-wise). I know Maxwell had a meh SR year, O'Connor was solid, Cook played in an option O . . . . Terry looks pretty darn legit.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Skip was suppose to send me film on terry. Im pretty excited to see his film.
I think there's some film in his thread. Skip's your brother right?
Terry completed 2/3 of his passes (222/333) for 3,599 yards, 50 TDs and 8 INTS (or maybe 7 . . . something like that anyways) this season.
Big news, Wiscy d line coach Patridge is following Bielema to Ark. He is prob their best recruiter and brought in the likes of Alec James, Chikwe Obasih, Connor Sheehy. This is important bc most of those guys said if he stayed, they would as well. Hope the staff is calling these guys tomorrow. Don't know if Gault and Matt Miller were also recruited by him, but this can't help either.

Hello Alec James!
Big news indeed.
Matt Canada also left, he will be NC State's OC now.
And Wisconsins WR coach leaves to be Tennessee's WR coach. wonder how long their class holds on
"losing Caleb Benenoch is a blow that Dantonio will never recover from. Izzo has lost it as well. Hoke and Beilein own the state."
Wisconsin is turning into a disaster area. Alvarez won't have anyone to coach with him in the Rose Bowl. but this probably opens up the state of Wisconsin to us.
Fight for the only colors, Green and White!
That is crazy. Those stats are eye popping.
How does he look...mechanics wise, arm strength etc...is just raw athletic talent that plays by being the best athlete on the field, Or is this a quarterback, or both?
Yes, skips my brother.
And i meant to quote you in my previous post as well.
From what I saw, and my nonexistent qualifications in judging a QB:
Very smooth runner, not a burner.
Can throw a long ball.
Only real negative I had on him was that he doesn't seem to throw a laser on the shorter routes, but I could be wrong.
Don't forget one thing.
Bielema and those former Wisc. Assistants will be trying to flip current Wisc. verbals to their new schools.
Doubt if any of them signed a "non compete" clause.
LB Coach Andy Buh follows Partridge to Arkansas.
Obviously, Alvarez didn't offer any of those assistants an opportunity to interview for the vacant HC job.
Probably wanted to get rid of the Bielema crew. It looks like Alvarez isn't all that upset that his coach left for the SEC. You've got to wonder if the two were not getting along and a change was coming any way.
Not sure what Smoker's HS stats were; I was talking strictly about HS stats.
