Those are some eye popping numbers. Even as a Michigan fan, I have to admit that it's funny when you compare them with Shane's numbers.
What kind of competition does he play against? Those numbers sound video game like.
Doesn't sting nearly as bad if we land Donte Wilkins or Antonio Riles because both of them look like BCS DT's eventually. I know we need the help now but I'd rather have a 4 year guy we can develop. Peko is certainly going to be missed but I think we know where his ceiling is after 2 seasons of Juco. The sky is the limit with these other two, and Alec James is still a very real possibility.
They won the Pennsylvania state title in AAA, which seems to be the second-highest division of PA high school football, so presumably they played some good schools in there.
And they went undefeated, manhandling every one of their playoff opponents all the way to the finals.
A Defensive Back? interesting..
Riles and James are projected at DE. Peko was projected at DT. They are mutually exclusive recruitments.
Only if you truly believe a guy with a neck like Riles or a body like Wilkins will stay at DE. Those guys are huge. I'm basing it solely on where I think they'll go based on size/physicality.
I'm not sure if you meant James, but Wilkins is a DT. Based on their builds, Riles could remain at DE, and James is very likely to remain at DE.
laconophilia is everywhere...
Yes your right. Wilkins is a DT but I still believe Riles looks like he could carry another 25 lbs with ease. I kind of think he's a little like LT that way. LT moving to DT is the best thing since HDTV.
Absolutely. LT at DT is a completely enthralling concept.
I am sorry this is way off track, but I will be so glad when the bowl game gets here next week.
I feel like there is nothing interesting in Michigan sports, college or professional right now.
Nothing going on with the Tigers right now
Lions are horrible to watch right now and it all means nothing.
Red Wings will never play again at the rate things are going.
U of M, who cares.
Spartans basketball recruiting? Nothing happening at the moment.
Football recruiting? Who knows what is going on, nothing to discuss until after the bowl game really.
I hope you all have a merry christmas.
I thought Conklin was performing extremely well on the scout team?
He was singled out as such by Chris McDonald, along with a couple of other young lineman. Hard to know how seriously to take those kinda things, but it might be worth something that McDonald mentioned his name. Or he might have just been naming all the healthy scout team olinemen.
I have been out of the country since the 6th and came back just before Christmas. Just now getting caught up on things. Was looking to post a new scholarship chart, but have not been in the loop on any attrition that may have happened while i was gone. Sometimes we lose a guy or two once fall semester wraps up. Anyone hear of any attrition?
Not officially. WOTS is that MSU could take up to 20, but most people are thinking 17-18 at this point.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
Anyone heard anything on Jamare Mills, juco TE prospect, who was supposed to be taking fall classes at LCC prior to enrolling at MSU?
I've been wondering whether he's a.) going to use a scholarship and b.) going to stay at TE? Seemed to have the size where he might be a candidate to move to the oline, now that it might be more of a position of need than TE but that's just completely uninformed speculation.
Well, I know he was definitely at MSU for fall camp; plenty of pics on this site of him working out in drills.
Hearing Ty Isaac may decommit from USC. Listed MSU, um and nd as interests. Um staff says they have not been in contact. Not sure what to make of it.
I know someone will ask so that came from Bill Greene when he interviewed some USC commits and they all said they thought he gone and those were the schools he talked about
go to BED Skip you maginificent recruiting bastard! Happy new year mon.
Ty Isaac attends my old high school (I know, I know. Cool story, bro). He was unstoppable when healthy, but seemed to be injured often this year (at least he seemed to be when I was paying attention). He's an amazing talent, but MSU isn't even listed on this site as having offered him. If he did decommit, it would be an intriguing situation. The kid is an absolute monster and you wouldn't just pass up on an amazing RB prospect like that, but MSU already has very limited space and doesn't seem to be looking to add another RB.
Ha ha nice. Thanks you boys too.
That is huge! If Isaac were to decide he were interested in MSU, I'm confident we would find room for him. Thanks, Scoo...er I mean Skip.

I think Issac is the kind of talent you find room for if he wants to commit..
UM is probably focusing on Derrick Green..
According to a few of their sources they lead for him now
