huh? Honestly, he's a kicker - they are almost never offered in their junior years; especially not before they camp. That's silly. And frankly, if I was an MSU coach and I read some of the tweets that kid was putting out - I would never offer him a scholarship.

Being called a sunshine blower is not insulting to me and I'm proud to be one.

Pretty sure I read a tweet that said, almost word for word, that, FWIW.
To answer the original question about an offer, June 19th is MSU's kicking camp (so Tuesday). If he's serious about being a Spartan, one would assume he would be there. Not sure whether he'll be offered this soon, but I don't believe he has been offered from any other school, despite him camping all over down south. Despite low scholarship #'s, I would be for offering him. It's Conroy's last year and Muma, other than kickoffs, doesn't have a ton of other game-kicking experience. This kid can place kick and punt. Wouldn't be bad to line up a clearly talented kicker for the next 4-5 years and be done with it.

There was a little sarcasm there. I'm aware of what he said, and has been saying. He's dogged our fanbase, climate, hospitality, etc. I just find it hard to believe that we're "slow playing" him. Literally, almost every recruit who's interviewed mentions how "straight up" our staff has been with them and it's what they appreciate. We have limited scholarships this year and it may cause us to miss out on a kid who has been a fan his whole life. It's already happened with Zach Bradshaw. Let me say this, I have no idea whether or not we'll offer JJ. I do however find the comments a little disturbing. However, any idiot tweeting recruits should be taken out back and beaten with a hose.

Ha - sorry, I missed that.
But I don't disagree. He is still just a high schooler, and while I usually find that to be a cop-out, sometimes fans just gotta let it be and not get worked up about it. Regardless of his tweets, it sounds like MSU would be a real player for him if offered. Probably see some more info with all this after the kicking camp next week (assuming he's there).

Do you have an additional report/info on the kid from Portage Central Jessesspen? He's from my hometown, so I'm pulling for him to maybe walk-on at least. Where would the staff project him and are they high on him? I've been told he's a lifelong MSU fan. Big kid, too.
Thanks for all your info on here as always.

The 24/7 nat'l recruiting guys believe Foster will either commit to Pitt if he wants to stay home or Bama if he wants to leave home - no B1G school's in his top 2.
We're only taking one WR in the 2013 class - and I'd be ecstatic if Jay Harris from PA was the one.
