As expected. He's just on a level of his own.

Good article in SI highlighting Washington's assistant. You get an idea why they're getting in on some top recruits.

  • Izzo will almost need to be seen by Parker every game he plays from here on out. Before its all over Parker will be considering offers from the 10-15 of the top programs in the country.

I would love for this kid to be one of the early LOI commits in fall 2012 but it will be a wild ride.

He already has plenty of offers, and from the top schools. Parker isn't into $UK$ and holds a tope five of Duke, Kansas, MSU, Washington, & ILL. Washington with high interest because of his close relationship with Lorenzo Romar.

People need to fully understand how big of a character guy Parker is. He isn't wrapped up in himself, or the recruiting process. Parker carries a great head on his shoulders and will be successful wherever he chooses...I just pray it's Michigan State.

This has been common knowledge, but nice to see him coming out and officially listing MSU in his top 5; Washington is the believed favorite lately. Also, enjoy this dunk.

http://www.CLHTV.com/ After leading his high school team to it's second straight state championship Jabari set his sights on the AAU circuit. His play this Spring has made him a legitimate contender for the #1 spot in the class of 2013. Stay tuned for a full Jabari mix coming soon.

Suitors are still being added I'm sure but it's always better to be in top 5 than outside of it. Adding this kid would be ginormous. He'd be MSU best recruit since Randolph. Not the tallest lineup in the world, but could you imagine the athleticism and skill of this starting five?

    Keith Appling, Sr
    Gary Harris, Soph
    Jabari Parker, Frosh
    Branden Dawson, Jr

I would not be too disappointed to substitute Valentine for anyone in this line-up.

    Or Costello. thumbsup

We have some seriously legit talent arriving soon. Harris and/or Parker would just be some tasty blue chips on top of the icing on top of the cake

Dawson at 4? I know he is a good rebounder but I have seen him listed as small as 6'5, maybe put costello there?

    TheBigDOg

  • Absolutely no doubt that we have some talented players on the way with the possibility of adding top ten recruit to complement what is already on the roster. I am feeling very good about our chances to contend for titles next year and beyond. Awesome.

    CoachL

  • Dawson is the same height as Green, only with better hops! Parker is 6-8, I expect him to be a combo forward in college but a pure 3 in the NBA.

I would switch Dawson to SF, Costello at PF, and Jabari first off the bench. Then again, if Dawson is still here for his junior year, consider me ecstatic.

  • MSU has gotten a top tier guy before. Though he didn't put up huge stats in his only year here, Zach Randolph was the top player in his class in 2000, and he was important to MSU's final four run.

Jabari will start at whichever school he chooses, including MSU.

Dawson is a freak of an athlete that is ranked as one of the best rebounders in the whole class, averaged close to 18 a game the past two years of HS. He will be getting double digit boards often at MSU. And if he manages that he can contend to play the 4, even a large 2 if Izzo pleases. Nasty

Parker would no doubt play a starters minutes (25+ per game). However, if Jabari was to start, he would start @ the PF on offense (guard the lesser physical player of the SF/PF on defense). Dawson might guard the 4 spot a bit at MSU, but I highly doubt he plays the 4 on offense unless it's out of necessity. If Parker were to come here, I don't see him starting over a 3 year starter in Dawson, and with Costello already having a year in the system, he will be more finely tuned to the Izzo's defense over Parker. Same reasoning behind Harris (again, if we land him) starting over Parker. That's my reasoning behind the starters I threw out there. Say we don't get Harris but land Parker, I see no reason why Parker and Dawson both couldn't be in the starting line-up.

It's fun to be able to even speculate about such highly touted prospects though King1
