Jabari Parker on RecruitingNation ESPN says he would like to make the decision over the winter Dec-Feb. And the foot is coming along.
NY...saw you posted some somewhat positive info last week from an Illinois prep guru named Joe Henrickson. FWIW, seems like he's pretty legit with info, was about the only insider that had Ohio State as a serious player with Keita Bates-Diop (was quick to shoot down the Michigan/Purdue talk too).
Hope he is right.
He had MSU with a slight lead over Florida and Duke 3rd which makes me feel better.
That's great news about the Duke rumor, thanks for the info.
He's in BYU this weekend

ESPN Video: The nation's no. 2 overall player, Jabari Parker (Chicago/Simeon), talks about what he's looking for in a school and when he anticipates making a decision.
Well he did name MSU first in his list - very innocuous on timing for a decision
Be patient folks and trust in Izzo
BYU fans definitely get some creativity points for this one.

Well they got Sweet 16's and POY's by the mile, no way Duke and MSU can compete with that. Lock the thread -- he's headed to BYU...
But in all seriousness that was pretty tight. If he doesn't come to MSU, hope he heads to Provo. Doesn't matter what pit stop he chooses for a year, the NBA is a certainty. Nice position to be in.
I hope this was sarcasm because that awful video reeks of desperation.
FWIW on ESPN insider 6 of 7 of their recruiting insiders project Jabari to Duke(Paul Biancardi, Adam Finkelstein, Joel Francisco, Mike LaPlante, John Stovall, Dave Telep)...Reggie Rankin has Parker to MSU
That's an interesting development. Are they just the guys that go with the hot rumors though?
What program will Parker select?
Jabari Parker (Chicago/Simeon), ESPN's No. 2 overall player in the Class of 2013, gave thought to postponing college to go on a two-year Mormon Mission after high school graduation. According to M Live's Diamond Leung, that's no longer the case.
"I know for a fact that I'm going to college my first year," Parker told Leung.
Parker, a 6-foot-8 small forward, is considering BYU, Duke, Florida, Michigan State and Stanford. He originally hoped to make a decision by the winter, though he admitted he's "probably behind schedule."
Speculation here, but Michigan State would be a great option. For one, it's the closest to his home of Chicago out of all the finalists. He'd also star right away for one of the nation's best teams. The Spartans will lose senior Derrick Nix, so Parker would likely join 6-foot-10 center Adreian Payne in the starting frontcourt. He'll additionally team with a strong group of wings and guards, including former McDonald's All-American Gary Harris.
The latest confidence meter from Duke/NC reporter CLint Jackson:
Latest intel has Parker going to Michigan State or Duke. Sources are torn over this. Some feel it's Duke. Some feel it's Michigan State.
Most everyone I talk to feels that Florida is not in the ballgame and they would be shocked if Parker went to Gainesville. I firmly believe it's MSU or Duke, but I wouldn't bet my house on either. I haven't heard enough from any source that sounds absolute.
I would put my confidence meter on Parker right now at this (and I'm being very balanced and objective)
Duke - 7.5
Michigan State - 6.5
Florida - 2.5
BYU - 1.5
Stanford - 1.0
So statistically a dead heat, got it.
By "intel", do you think he means groupthink based upon outsider speculation or groupthink based upon just plain ole gossip?
Graham_Couch: Tom Izzo in Chicago tonight watching Jahlil Okafor and Jabari Parker.
Edit: Kudos for not taking the bait. Much smarter than the RCMB/Wells.
