Someone is saying those things to him and he is just "retweeting" them
Hanging on kids tweets makes me feel like a fool but nonetheless I like what I'm hearing.
Honestly the whole retweeting thing doesn't mean much. I've seen several recent targets retweet tons of MSU stuff and then they ended up committing elsewhere. Hopefully it is different for Cliff but until he actually says something I'll take this with a grain of salt.
Cliff with 26, 20 and 5 blocks in Currie's Fridat night win. His team is 16-5 on the season.
@diamond83: Cliff Alexander in the house.
also tweeted by roy schmidt. this is a very big game for many different reasons
Pretty decent game for him to come up for.
Gave him a Go Green! on the concourse last night, he smiled and nodded. Obviously a commitment should be coming shortly, you're welcome
he didn't say "go white" ??
laying in the weeds
Alexander talking about his year at Currie - "I keep getting the ball more, lots of plays are being run through me." I think he may have liked how he saw Nix being used Tuesday.
Yeah any big man interested in MSU, especially highly skilled guys, should look at tape on Goran Sutan's last 2 years, Draymond Green, and Nix this year.
One of a kind atmosphere...I'm glad Cliff could be there for it. I have a real good feeling he's going to end up in the green and white.
He's in Knoxville taking in the Kentucky-Tenn game today. Didnt know he was looking at the Vols really, and it can't help Kentucky that they are getting hammered by an average Tennessee team.
Cliff seems to really be taking in the whole recruiting process start to finish, he has talked too, had offers from, and visited a lot of places in the last year. Very little I would take from him traveling to Knoxville for a game against UK. The one team that you might say has spurned him a bit in his recruiting process.
Just passing this along, Rexrode re-tweeted a guy who covers illinois/indiana recruiting
Chip Sylvie @IllianaAAU
Those curious: Yes, I expect Cliff Alexander 95% to go to Michigan State. IU not as high on him or him on IU. UK no chance anymore.
Retweeted by Joe Rexrode
Does this mean Tyus is 95% expecting to come as well?
When is he looking to make a commitment ?/?
It would be nice to get the ball rolling in 2014 with a big splash commitment. If we can lock up Cliff then we look that much more attractive to other recruits. It has been a long time since our last commit and I'd like to see us break the seal on 2014
Okafor is directly connected to Tyus not Cliff
Cliff has stated that he is going to take his time. Still a very long time to go.
"Stats are for Losers." - Pat "Nardawg" Narduzzi
Ah, gotcha. Thought it was the other way around.
Cliff is a HUGH piece to STATE's 2014 recruiting efforts... From his film, he is very aggressive around the rim and rebounds and defends great.. Also We will be extremely thin in the post after Nix and Payne graduate...
Things can change. We were favorites for quite awhile for Parker as well.
Izzo is watching Cliff tonight...guessing this is the 3rd or 4th time this season he's made made the trip to see him play, that's incredible for an out-of-state kid.
Also, Cliff is scheduled to visit Illinois this weekend. Roy Schmidt tweeted today that Illinois is in good shape with Cliff (but may not be his leader). That take is consistent with what other Illinois prep gurus are saying, guys like Joe Henricksen and Daniel Poneman also think Illinois has made up ground in this race.
Izzo has invested a ton of time in this one, just hope it pays off.
