Does the Drake Harris commitment mean the staff will cool Jaquan? It seems these two would play the same position.
I think they cooled on him earlier. - A lot of growing up to do.
He has a lot of point guard skills but we have DV and are in on Tyus Jones.
Indiana has cooled him as well and they know him as well as anyone.
If we have cooled its not because they duplicate each other or because they play the same position, its because of emotional/maturity concerns at this point. But the kid is only finishing his sophomore year of high school, give him some time. I am sure we are not done recruiting him, but he probably has a little bit bit of "intangible development" to go through before he gets a full court press from Izzo. We'll see. Would love for it to work out as the kid is uber talented. But I like our position with or without him in the fold. Besides, Harris likely will need 1-2 years of college caoching and skill development to be a major contributor on what should be a very talented roster, Lyle is probably a 1 and done basketball player wherever he goes. Lyle would shoot through east lansing before Harris was done growing into his full role on the basketball team.
Edit: To say we have cooled, is to say it appears we have cooled, if we are paying money to be members on a premium board its because we really don't know if MSU has cooled or not. Just to balance my previous statements which are not by any means an attack on Lyle's ability or fit with MSU.

That is interesting if true. Some of his good friends are already on their way to Bloomington and many thought he would follow.
According to the Purdue Rivals, Lyle is planning on visiting both Indiana and MSU "soon".
his Grandma lives in EL so if he does have emotional/maturity problems we wouldnt be a bad school for him to go to. And i agree with you that he is only going into his junior year. he is 16/17 years old. but if he can play ball, i like him.
I agree, that could make a long term difference in his development and the role his family plays in his college basketball experience.
I know this is completely different, but who does that remind you of?
He will decide between UK and Louisville, with Indiana as the dark horse, IMO.
Bosse's Lyle visits UK campus

JaQuan Lyle tweeted that he visited the University of Kentucky campus and met with Wildcats coach John Calipari and his staff earlier this week.
Lyle and his Bosse High School teammates later participated in the Purdue Shootout at Mackey Arena.
A 6-foot-4 guard who will be a junior this fall, Lyle has already been offered scholarships by 12 NCAA Division I men’s basketball programs, including Indiana University, Purdue, Illinois and Louisville, among others.
Lyle, 16, is playing “up” a class for Spiece Indy’s 17-and-under AAU team. He is ranked 15th nationally in the Class of 2014 Prospect Ranking by Rivals.com and No. 8 by ESPN’s Class of 2014 Top 60.
This Purdue blogger feels MSU is the team to beat...

As many of you heard. Mr. Lyle is scheduled to make an early visit today to Purdue a day before his Evansville Bosse squad plays in the Purdue Shootout at Mackey. He just wrapped up a visit to Kentucky and at this point despite his family ties to Michigan State. I'd be surprised if that's not where Lyle ends up. However, don't overlook the fact he is visiting Purdue. It's never a bad thing to have a legitimate 5 star talent on campus which he is. Probably the best vision in a high school player I've saw since Jason Gardner. His recruitment should be an entertaining one to watch though. Stay tuned for updates....
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he saying that Kentucky is the team to beat?
That is how I read that too. Last time I checked he was a Kentucky lean.
Capt.Gingersnap, don't be angry with me.
Reading comprehension is not my strong suit. Yes this person feels he is a UK lean. Sorry.
Bump, was talking to Gary Harris via twitter last night. He will be in EL next wednesday.
drops to 17 in ESPN 60
N.D. Kendrick @NDkendrick
2014 G JaQuan Lyle Bosse (IN) will take in the Michigan St-Notre Dame game Sept. 15th and will attend the Kentucky #BBN Midnight Madness.
He's also visiting IU for Hoosier Hysteria Oct. 20th according to TOC.
Apparently Lyle is no longer going to be in EL this weekend and is going to visit Kentucky this weekend instead.
Seriously? How's Kentucky have enough room to hoard all these players.
Maybe he is going to visit our Midnight madness now instead?
didnt make the top 10 he tweeted
@JMamba5: The 10 schools are: Kentucky, Texas, Louisville, IU, Georgetown, Illinois, NC St., Cincinnati, Ohio St., Tennessee

I was hoping being close to his grandparents may sway him. I hope he does great things wherever he ends up.
No longer an MSU target but was interesting to see he is on message boards and not liking what he sees. I would hope kids would stay away from these places but the lure is probably too great.
Its five o'clock somewhere.
