When someone can bring a staircase to an elementary school and kill a kid with it, this argument might be applicable.
And I would argue that's part of the problem.
This country has an obsession with guns.
More and more people will die because guns end up in the hands of people who don't deserve them and in places where they don't belong.
Then people on both sides of the debate will feign emotion and pretend that they care. Meanwhile, the NRA will continue to have every Republican and many Democrats in US Congress and state legislatures in their pocket.
My number one problem is that anybody who RECOGNIZES the problem with gun violence in this country is IMMEDIATELY accused of wanting to ban all guns, wanting to take away all guns, and spitting on the second amendment.
I think it's outrageous for debate on almost any issue to be roadblocked by such a paranoid attitude. Unfortunately, that paranoia is so ingrained in our social fabric that no matter how many random shootings take place in this country, any efforts to reduce violence are rejected as attempts to ban all guns even when there is no evidence to support the claims.
Don't need a bible once you get your mandatory Koran.

Very well said.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
ALGORE SAVE US!
Sooo anyway, not to take away from the amazing debate going on, but the shooter is now dead.
Meanwhile in Chicago, we're averaging someone getting popped about every 10 hours, and its just a joke to the late night shows.
Yeah, because bans never started out as simple control in other countries..............
Don't forget that he's a socialist communist who hates whites as well.
This has nothing to do with gun laws. If some coward is going to shoot up a school, theater, work place a gun law isn't going to prevent it.
The point is that there are lots of ways to die or be killed, but the leftist MSM likes to put gun violence on the front page. Then they get Harry all worked up posting a post a second, ranting against our gun culture, at the same time trying to say he doesn't want to ban guns.
nail hits head. i'm sure Nancy Grace will be OUTRAGED by this

Don't tell this to libs because they don't understand logic.
No, but allowing a good guy to tote a gun would sure limit the damage they could do. Oh wait, I forgot, I am a gun-loving Bible toter. My vote doesn't count.
As long as it's not a mexican't or broad.
BAH GAWD KING, THATS CENAS MUSIC
Lol, great comparison.
When is the last time a person killed someone else using a stair again?
So, in other words, a conservative woman is uneducated and can't think for herself? You are so above the normal fray Bob...............
Hey, isn't there a board on this site for this type of thread?
I want to carry a grenade, I've got a pretty strong arm and I think I would be able to stop any bad guys within a short range. What could go wrong?
Question authority. Power to the people
Really when you think about it these are good things. Just think how good these kids will be in our wars when they're older... they're already getting all the PTSD out of their system and have first hand training for what to do when someone starts shooting at you. I assume this is like foreign languages and it's easier to pick up when you're younger.
"multiple fatalities" confirmed
