IF the cliff hits, our family income tax percentage is going to go up by at least 7% and probably 10%. We have bills to pay and college to save for. The only way I can see making things work is to pull back on everything charitable. Other than the Spartan Fund, everything else goes out the door. Cancer societies, boy & girl scouts, police & firemen crap, all of it. Done. Gone.
How bad of a person am I for this?
Wells in 5...
Congress approval ratings at all time low coming into election. What does America do? Votes most of those cock sucking cock suckers back into office.
Really? You can't spend less on anything else? Don't make the needy suffer because of this. Seems shitty to me, honestly.
Hide yo quarterbackz, hide yo kidz, the MSU defense is here
Not a bad person at all. You are doing your part.

The needy wont be affected, they'll just be receiving their dollars through higher taxes
4, 3, 2, 1............
So you're saying the addtl. tax dollars will all go to them and not to pay for more govt.? Not sure about that.
Everybody in the thread who is saying the OP is a bad person needs to post what % of their income goes to charity.
Oh, and wells...
Where else do additional tax dollars go to? You seem to be more plugged in then I. I'll hang up and listen
All I'm saying is that, compared to some charities, the US govt. can be grossly inefficient. Fair?
You're wrong for donating in the first place you commie bastard.
I get such a good return on my forced investment in the Federal Government.
Gotta be about 5%
But I know that I'm not the norm (in many ways).

You're not wrong, Walter. You're just an asshole.
you're really going to miss those Samoas. Just sayin.
Yeah, those roads and schools really suck!
I'm a tax CPA and have been following this some. There is zero chance your income tax rate will be going up "at least 7% and probably 10%". At the very worst, if you are in top tax bracket (i.e., you have taxable income of $400,000) - the bracket most affected by impending future tax increases - the talk is that bracket will increase by less than 5%. At the worst. Every other bracket will be affected much less.
I'm guessing you're not in the top tax bracket.
You are not very smart.
What the fuck, dude...who really gives a shit. That's your business. Stop trying to make your business our business. I don't give a fuck what you do with your money...
That's cause he's married, right? Cause according to this nice graphic its a lot worse for single folks.
