Then don't bitch about how things are being run by elected officials. Put a candidate who meets your lofty standards on the ballot and vote.

I didn't vote because no canidate represented my ideals. (More coke and hookers, less pants.)

anyone know a place to see demographics that voted?
% of 18-29 year-olds that voted.
% of population that voted.

I didn't vote in the presidential election for first time since I was eligible to vote (the last 8 elections).
Moved to a new city and state a few years ago and really don't know anything about the local or state elections or anything about the candidates here. I know more about the propositions and candidates back in Michigan than I do here. Would have just been picking candidates by name if I had voted yesterday.
I'm not gay or transgendered, I don't smoke dope, I'm not a union member, my effective tax rate has not changed materially during the last 3 administrations, my property taxes are already capped and the real estate market in Michigan ain't exactly causing my SEV to go up anytime soon anyway, and I don't fit any of the potential profiles that would cause me not to breeze right through TSA security checkpoints. in other words, I don't lose any sleep about the other 320 million Americans subjecting to me anything.
I think we should take some of these people, and send 'em up to Bear Mountain for a picnic.
Didn't vote...first I just moved back to MI and registered in Indiana (and I no longer care what happens there for local ballots.) Presidential election I think is a joke and for that point, i look at the supreme court ruling of giant douche v turd sandwich.
AND i had a video game to play.
I voted on everything except 1 set of Trustees I knew nothing about. Made sure to NOT vote for Joel F. you're welcome.
I honestly don't want people that don't care or are ignorant to vote. Unfortunately that happens a lot. The most obvious examples are those that vote for Obama because of his skin color only and policies be darned but I am sure it happens both ways just cant give a specific example as I do not have any republican friends that just vote based on something as simple as that. ( A few of my friends did vote for Obama because of his skin color so that's why i mentioned it specifically, not going out attacking)

Right with you. Also, when you do not respect the two parties who are self servants rather than public servants. The right NOT to vote, especially for the lesser of two evils, is a right nevertheless.
What I don't understand is this notion that everyone should vote. If people don't know anything about the candidates, why should they vote?
Don't vote for the president then. There are always other things to vote on that directly affect you and the people around you that you yourself have a say in.
I was given the day off of work to vote, so I spent the whole day playing Halo 4!
Here's an idea: Educate yourself about the candidates.
I love people who say they hated Obama and Romney... Well you had like 5 other candidates to vote for..
It's just the political version of being a sore loser. If Romney had won, they'd still be dancing in the streets.
So by you nancies not voting, you allowed around 20% of the voting population to choose your president for you. Wait until it is something that you care about. I personally think your citizenship should be yanked. Then you will only be guaranteed free education, health care and $40k per year.
That should teach you. It taught your president.
