I watched it for 5 minutes. That was all I could take watching that crap. According to them, Obama only won because of HIS demonizing negative vampire sucking ads. Just wow....
Stewart is on the radio?
Now knowing what 1995 is like all over again! Thank you 247 technology!!
You must watch a lot of fox news
I am angry. Sorry..but yeah, I enjoy Mahr. Thank goodness I have a sense of humor, because I'd be seriously depressed today without it.
I'm just sick and tired of this country having to settle for idiots and crooks to run things. It's not right..
If there was ever a time for a politician who is responsible on financial issues (and can fucking say NO to someone!) yet isn't a Goddam religious nut (I beleive they all are) that people just won't trust, it is now..
Meanwhile, say hello to another 10 trillion dollars of National Debt. I hope all those who reap the benefits for another 4 years enjoy themselves..
There is romance in all of us
Republicans are so angry of full of hate. I don't understand why. I don't like everything about Rick Snyder, but I think he has done some good things for this state. It's not hard for me to admit this. I also voted Melanie Foster for MSU because I think the university has taken a step forward in recent years.

Your statement sadly rings too true. Our electorate is made up of the most ignorant, illiterate and self-interested segments. It's divide and conquer politics. Few care about what's good for the country, only about their own interest. They'll listen to a president get interviewed by MTV and "The View" while not taking hard questions from the press and simply accept that.
This election will be remembered for marijuana legalization, Gay marriage and Obama's making the rich pay "their fair share". Good luck to all you recent college grads looking for work for the next four years.
BTW the Dow is down 300 points. It's an OMAN!!
I don't. I know that the extreme right is behind the Republican agenda.
The problem for me is that in a large way, Fox is in fact the only network that doesn't pander to the liberal Left. It is in fact so obvious that it is scary. Yet the "right" is largely driven by people I simply don't agree with..I would in fact live in Australia if I had a choice, because they are the most pragmatic people on earth yet don't let stuff like abortion drive their every political decision.
We can't just give away shit forever to keep buying people's happiness. That does in fact lead to laziness and more handouts. The problem with those passionate about this ideal, largely, are also religious folks.
I've never understood why it is the religious nutjobs who are the only ones that seem to want to have fiscal responsibility. What the fock does one have to do with the other???
How unlike Limbaugh....pandering to an audience? Say it isn't so.
Anyone. Anyplace. Anytime.
You do realize that Jon Stewart is on Comedy Central, which is not a news network . . .
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
On our local "alternative" music station (you know, panders to hipsters and kids, largely) they play the "John Stewart Minute" which is a clip of his act..
It is always something poking fun at the people who provide these pesky jobs and healthcare and pay taxes.
Idiots and Crooks you say? Politicians represent the lowest common denominator in society. No matter what side of the aisle you're on, it's hard to argue against the fact that Americans elect the government they deserve. If you want better politicians, you're going to need a better informed electorate. My general beef about the elections is that they're half a step removed from American Idol. If a platform can't be distilled down to a 20 second soundbite or a 140 characters, Americans will just ignore it.
As opposed to the people who tune into Rush, who's on radio stations that pander to conservatives . . . . ?
Follow Donald trump on twitter. You're welcome.
yes. but i believe many americans get their political leanings from the likes of john stewart, jay leno, bill mahr, soledad o'brien, etc. they don't really study politics. one sign of intelligence is being able to understand and sympathize with both sides of an issue. thinking that one side is "smart" and the other is "stupid and completely misguided" shows how shallow and uneducated an argument is. it's real easy to only read things you agree with.
this isn't directed at you rocky.

Jon Stewart in an American treasure and smarter than you could ever hope to be.
I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this.
You know why Republicans are full of hate? Because a lot of them have built their entire life by working hard and they got to live in the greatest Republic on earth while doing it in a system that promotes ingenuity and hard work.
Only to see it get flushed away by Socialist thinking boobs..This has happened, though, in almost every capitalistic/free society in the World's history. Show me one "free" nation that hasn't turned largely Socialist in time. It's sad, but true..we were one of the last holdouts.
This country has gotten to the point where anyone and everyone can vote and is gonna vote for the easiest way out for themselves..Of course Obama won-he has a mandate to give and give and give..without any recourse except more debt. It's a great plan. It is also going to be a mess in time with hyper inflation. But the general populous will be so poor that it just won't matter to them.
Then the cylce will continue and the votes will go to the person that promises the most with their lies.
True capitalism died years ago. And it pisses me off. It's all tied to the pussification of America..hard work and enginuity are not rewarded now. Period.
It is hysterical that after MCI, worldcom, Enron, blackwater, Halliburton, illegal war in Iraq, collapse of the banks & wall street and auto industry and housing market, and turning the biggest surplus in history into a deficit and causing the biggest recession since the depression that reps still believe they are the fiscally and morally responsible party.
Limbaugh has a show for a specific audience that wants to tune in and listen. I'm trying to hear some good tuneage and they have to interrupt it with political jabs. There is a difference
While many issues are complex and nuanced, many simply don't have multiple truthful or accurate sides to them.
The Socialist thing that cropped up in the last 4 years is just hilarious. The only thing that calling everything socialism does is expose you as a lemming.
If you're so against "socialism", how about starting by not posting on a website dedicated to a publicly funded Land Grant institution.
Smart post. I agree.
"Leave the gun.....take the cannoli"
"It's not your job to be as confused as Nigel."
Why aren't hard work and ingenuity rewarded now?
I hear ya. It's not all black and white, though..I for one thought that it was best for business that failed to simply fail. It would have been extremely hard on a lot of people, but there are going to be even tougher times down the road when our economy collapses from our annual budget being allocated more to debt than to running the government.
And I also think it is BS how the moral issues of the Republicans run their lives and try to push people around. I am caught in the middle of religious idiology (that has no place in my life, thanks) and fiscal idiology and it's a tough gig..
Basically, the Party-system is largely the biggest problem with our political system. It needs to be be completely blown up.
It is because we are all imposters that we endure each other.

Methinks you are giving way too much credit to our electorate. Folks are way more informed about American Idol than they are about politician's stances on the issues. Let alone the ramifications of those stances.
