On msnbsc Woodward says Obama is 'showing a kind of madness I haven't seen for a long time '. For pulling back a aircraft carrier from the persian gulf to make the sequester seem more dramatic and painful.

LOL, I expect more media rats to be jumping ship soon
What about the release of the illegal aliens. They already depend on catch and release, but even the one not deportable are being released.
Obama has some mad priorities.

Question authority. Power to the people
Now Woodward is being threatened by the White House
Wow what a week First you have Democrats vigorously supporting an anti-semitic Republican for DOD and now they've all turned on the guy who brought down Nixon...never thought I'd see anything like this happen in my lifetime
If Woodward keeps this up, some other 'journalist' might grow a spine and start pointing out the obvious, as well.
The Emperor has no clothes, people, or is that no clues?

I didn't think it was possible. But Obama actually looks more incompetent in his second term. He has essentially brought the presidency down to the level of thuggery and superficial campaigning. People are catching on that he has no clue now how to lead or govern.
There are other options.....
If Woodward thinks he was being threatened. He has some explaining to do. Here's the "threatening" email from Gene Sperling:
I apologize for raising my voice in our conversation today. My bad. I do understand your problems with a couple of our statements in the fall — but feel on the other hand that you focus on a few specific trees that gives a very wrong perception of the forest. But perhaps we will just not see eye to eye here.
But I do truly believe you should rethink your comment about saying saying that Potus asking for revenues is moving the goal post. I know you may not believe this, but as a friend, I think you will regret staking out that claim."
And here was Woodward's response to the "threatening" email:
"Gene: You do not ever have to apologize to me. You get wound up because you are making your points and you believe them. This is all part of a serious discussion. I for one welcome a little heat; there should more given the importance. I also welcome your personal advice. I am listening. I know you lived all this. My partial advantage is that I talked extensively with all involved. I am traveling and will try to reach you after 3 pm today. Best, Bob"
So Woodward didn't feel Sperling was out of line initially? This is should be a total non-story.
POLITICO questioning White House statements on the origins of sequestration. The official in question is Gene Sperling, economic adviser to the president. The White House...
Wait, Obama is not the Messiah?
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
Woodward penned a 2012 book reporting that the idea for the spending cuts, known as the sequester, originated with the White House. It's a claim President Barack Obama originally denied, but the White House has since acknowledged.
Lanny Davis and Ron Fournier play the "me too!" card.
National Journal delivers the latest political news and analysis. This can’t be what Obama wants. He must not know how thin-skinned and close-minded his staff is to criticism.
A rich white guy is pissed at Obama?
I hope so. Nothing else is sticking.
So do tell, what exactly is he going to regret by writing the truth?
a guilt-ridden white guy loves Obama?
Maybe that isn't the truth (especially since the President has always wanted a combination of revenue and cuts). Also Woodward's been around for 40+ years. If he thinks that's a threat, his memory is on the decline.
Now he's a senile old kook LOL.love seeing liberals eat their own because they dare question their master

When I left Pfizer, my boss thought I was making a mistake. He said I'll regret it.
I felt scared. Have never stopped looking over my shoulder since that brief conversation.
What a drama queen!
I think what was meant here is that "Bob, you're going to be proven wrong, which will hurt your credibility and reputation, so you'll regret writing those words." Not "Bob, you're going to find a horse's head under your covers."

Did he also yell at you like this guy did to Woodward?
Yeah. Almost made me cry. I was scared man! The pharmaceutical giant named PFIZER was comin' after me!! Just cuz I resigned.
Oh, and good luck with that impeachment thing.
Nice straw man....Woodward's not afraid for his safety, but a threat in any form is a threat no matter how much you want to minimalize it.
Not Woodward's finest moment, and not surprising that Wells Hall conservatives are too stupid to realize it.
Do you think he'll wear a hoodie around the WH?
"I think the world is run by C students"
Of course, so long as someone is watching.
lars is bat crazy and fallenschtick continues to bs from the alleged small businessman in MA.
The rest just can't come to grips with the fact the GOP nominated a vapid VP the guaranteed a McCain loss and then nominated Romney who few of the GOP faithful really wanted and a VP candidate who would walk out on a radio interview when they asked him questions he didn't like.
