I get that the unions want to hold on to their contracts. Doesn't bankruptcy accomplish the same thing as contracts are voided? Why would the state continue to pour funds into a failed model? I have to beleive that the outstaters aren't going to want to continue funding Detroit, Pontiac and River Rouge. Do the unions expect the rest of the state to subsidize their wages and benifits? To me, the failure of Prop. 1 means bankruptcy for sure.
