I'd laugh, if not for the deputy being one of the injured. I'm assuming he was just there, working.

I'm glad you're all giddy about someone getting injured through someones idiocy.
This is why the mother of all safety rules is the assumption the gun is always loaded.
What a moron.
Question authority. Power to the people
Guns don't kill people...just keep repeating that lie to yourself...
Lurking on tRCMB since 1996
I don't have to since I have the right to own a gun, something you obviously disagree with.
Don't project your fear of others on me....I don't care if you own a gun or don't own a gun...I have several guns but that is not relavent to the logic of gun violance, nor is the 2nd Admendment allowing the people collectively to bear arms which of course means that the people individually have to bear arms too...
The logic is simple...
Guns are used in violent acts. If fact guns are projected violence, that is what they are designed to do.
If you want to stop guns from being used in violent acts then guns must be very tightly controlled. No amount of education, or the number of shots before reloading etc changes the nature of what a gun is or what its use is.
Otherwise we will continue to have guns being used in violent acts....
We as a people do not want guns to be tightly controlled...
Ergo we do want guns to contiune to be used as they were designed to be used to project violence....Ergo we do want a continuation of events such as Sandy Hook....
Anyone who doesn't understand what it would take to stop this and instead thinks less than total control is needed to stop these types of events is just lying to themsleves...
So if you want to stop the Sandy Hook events you logically must be in favor of tight gun control...if you are not in favor of tight gun control you are in favor of more Sandy Hooks...there is no middle ground on this...
No I'm not in favor of more Sandy Hooks and the idea that anyone else in this country wants to ever see it happen again is preposterous. But if you think confiscating (which is what you are getting at) all 300 million plus guns in this country it's not going to happen. This country was built in freedoms, owning guns is one of those freedoms. Take that away and you might as well let this country turn into 50 separate countries and let each new country deal with guns as they see fit.
Sure they could overwhelm them. It would also be the end of the United States.
The ideal of the United States ending in the 1840's when the people allowed the government to create general incorporation laws which allowed limited liability for stockholders. It pretty much completely died when the railroads and the telegraph companies were formed...we live in the post ideal United States where 99.9% of us are wage slaves to the top 0.1%...we just try to ignore that fact...

I did not see the word or concept of "confiscate" until your mentioned it. False premise, but that won't stop you from spreading the lies of the NRA.
You are not being logical...
Sandy Hook was allowed to happen because guns were avalible, that is an major root cause for it...
Unless guns are not available more Sandy Hooks will happen...
If you are supporting the availability of guns then you are supporting Sandy Hooks...you can lie to yourself about this but the logic is straigt forward and defendable...avaiable gusn equals more Sandy Hooks...guns not avaiable equals fewer Sandy Hooks...supporting guns means supporting Sandy Hooks...
You seem to think that supporting Sandy Hooks is wrong...however we all support a much larger system of murder called cars & trucks...Sandy Hooks are the price paid for guns available...and you are willing to pay that price even if you are lying to yourself about the logical outcome of your positions...as Ayn Rand said "A is A, and anyone who doesn't apply reason in their lives isn't realy human"....
How many were injured by the jumpy SOB's returning fire?
They don't . They don't have a mind of their own or their own motor skills.
This moron acted upon an inert tool. If no one mishandles the firearm it never would have fired.
Based upon everything I've read about the incident? Zero.
Yay for responsible CPL holders!
Forcing everyone to lock up their guns in a government regulated facility where they can easily revoke access isn't akin to confiscation?
Golly - good idea! Why hasn't anyone else thought of this?
dumb rednecks are dumb

There were also two other people shot at different gun appreciation events. It's hilarious that the people who are supposed to know all about guns can't even stop themselves from shooting others, and in one of the incidents the gun owner shot himself. Gun nuts are all idiots.
In these cases, I am giddy.
BTW, just want to make it clear that I fully support gun violence at gun shows (minus the deputy getting hurt). So clearly, I'm not against gun ownership or the 2nd Amendment.
I just think there's a time and a place for shooting guns, and a gun show is the perfect venue. Accidental or not, I support gun nuts firing guns at other gun nuts. It's like those poor bastards holed up in the designated smoking rooms at the airport. I can't help but laugh when I walk by one of those rooms and see those poor bastards standing in the haze.
Oh, I get it. You feel the same about gun show attendees and smokers as I do about the poor. Got it.
You mean like Trappergus?
Is this the thread where we present anecdotal evidence that only highly-trained, responsible law enforcement individuals should be allowed to handle guns?
Dec. 28, 2012 Fayetteville, N.C. — Interim Fayetteville Police Chief Katherine Bryant returned to work Friday after she accidentally shot herself in the hand during the Christmas holiday, authorities said.
January 18, 2013 AGAWAM, MA (WSHM) - An Agawam police officer who accidentally shot a pregnant mom of two in the face has been relieved of her duties. Police Chief Robert Campbell confirmed with CBS 3 that officer Danielle Petrangelo has been let go.

Someone find the YouTube of the DEA agent who shot himself in the foot while giving a lecture to school kids that only highly-trained law enforcement types should handle firearms.
That one always cracks me up.
