This is completely wrong, but oh well. Consider the source ...
It's amusing how upset you connies get when someone imitates you.
The best way to bridge the differences between us is for you to reject conservatism and all it stands for and embrace the fact that everything conservatives stand for is wrong.
Here's some good news.....
"Last June, a year after that car ride, Blankenhorn wrote an op-ed in The New York Times announcing a shift in his views. "To my deep regret," he wrote, "much of the opposition to gay marriage seems to stem, at least in part, from an underlying anti-gay animus." His institute immediately lost half its funding -- around a million dollars -- and half the board resigned that same day. But Blankenhorn stuck by his new beliefs. "I'm an old Southern white guy," he said, "and I grew up learning all the bad names about gay and lesbian people, all the stereotyped ideas. We were too busy fighting about race to really talk much about anything else, but I imbibed the stereotypical ideas that I think most of my generation did, and they weren't pretty."
Blankenhorn has since issued a tract called "Marriage, A New Conversation," a renunciation of the culture war signed by 74 activists, writers and scholars from both the left and the right. Rauch now sits on the board of his institute."
Before his son came out to him, Mike Neubecker had never thought about same-sex marriage. It was 1991; few Americans had.
"No one cares what you know, until they know how much you care." Mark Dantonio
Bullshit and bullshit. How do your gay friends feel about your opinion that they chose to be gay ? Did you choose to be a bigot or did some illogical religion make you intolerant of people who aren't like you ?
Edit...tried to quote fishbigot.

Why couldn't it be a choice? Heterosexuals who get imprisoned choose to have gay sex all the time. Is pedophilia also not a choice?
Actually it's been observed in quite a few other species.
Observations of sexual activity between same-sex monkeys, dolphins, penguins, and many other animals has widened the debate about the origin and nature of homsexuality in humans.
'connie' this, 'connie' that....
'Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable'

Do you think that possibly they were a little strange because people like you didn't accept them, bullied them, called them names etc ? Maybe when you grow up and people tell you that you shouldn't be the way you are you have a hard time dealing with that.
One intolerant person agreeing with another intolerant person.......
One little sissy boy crying because somebody has a different opinion
You're intolerant and a bigot. It's sad that so many people with your misguided and ignorant attitudes still exist.
and what attitude is that? Specifics, and quote me
You liberals are now asking for the government to define this for you. Big Freaking Mistake. All it means is that now a single judge somewhere can overturn all of it. Live your life as you see fit and stop trying to make criminals out of people that disagree with you.
So calling a conservative a conservative is now an insult?
They made themselves criminals because disagreeing with full equality under the law is criminal.
You're a fucking insecure idiot....
Quit feeling threatened by something that doesn't threaten you.....
You said you make "fag" jokes right..... don't you think that perpetuates hate? So yeah, you do do something against them....
The fact you hide behind your flawed logic about why homosexuality exists shows that you are insecure......
So let me ask, why do you oppose gay marriage?
One of the conservative values I had supported was everyone should have the ability to fail or success on their own accord. But now I see the light. That is so totally wrong. We definitely need the government to pick and choose winners and losers. It is the only right thing to do. I just don't understand how I could have been so wrong for so many years. Thanks, Madman
The problem with your value is that thanks to conservative policies, the ability to fail or succeed on your own no longer exists. Only those born to wealth have a chance to succeed now because the wealthy have changed the rules to keep working people in their place. And yes, it IS the governments job and duty to provide a level playing field. Thanks for admitting that you are totally wrong to believe in conservatisim.
Why do you think that if someone isn't wealthy they are not successful? What a poor twisted value system you have. Were your parents that piss poor in raising you?
I was using your standard for success which is strictly how much money someone has in the bank. I don't measure success by wealth. I leave that to you conservatives. By all conservative accounts I am not successful because I work for a living, own a middle class house, drive older vehicles and don't have multiple millions in the bank. I on the other hand consider myself very successful because I have a great wife, two great kids, 3 wonderful granddaughters and pay my bills. And yes, my parents were poor by your standards.
My mom was a school teacher, my dad worked on the line. I'm not the one that values success on money but you sure do. All your posts downgrade someones success. I don't downgrade the rich because they are successful. But you sure wish everyone was poor. I use to think you were just a complete pick of shit but now I realize that your parents were such poor rule models you just never had a chance to overcome that.
Nope, I didn't. My brother is Gay and I have known since I was in 8th grade.
So are you backpeddling now..... you don't currently make "Fag" jokes, all gowns up are ya?
You didn't answer the question about why you oppose Gay marriage
