... and Republicans are sinking! Looks like America is getting smarter after all.
As President Obama faces a tough showdown with congressional Republicans over the looming sequestration cuts, a new poll shows the commander-in-chief with his highest approval rating in over three years.
I must be crazy to be in a loony bin like this.
Still trailing Romney in Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Wisconsin, and he's going to lose PA and MI.
Handouts mean a lot to many Americans.
Yeah, trying to help our sick and starved fellow Americans is such a drag when I want more possessions for myself.

Well of course. He just played golf with Tiger Woods.
I should have phrased it "handouts are enjoy by many with IPhones in America"
At least you acknowledge why Obama won the election.
Exhibit 1 on why only 22% of Americans will now admit to being Republicans. Keep up the good work and pretty soon that number will be 3%.
Obama won because Republicans put in a candidate that didn't resonate with the common American. Obama should have lost by a landslide. Jon Huntsman, who most Republicans thought was too moderate, would have won handily.
Looking back, would Republicans want Huntsman or Obama as President? I still can't believe that Bachman (Batsh*t crazy) was leading the primary at one point. Shows how far Republicans need to go before people take them seriously again.

"Common American" translation: Handouts.
I don't know what puts you above the common American but I consider myself one. And I do not receive handouts.
Initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased 20,000 to a seasonally adjusted 362,000, the Labor Department said on Thursday. The prior week's claims figure was revised to show 1,000 more applications received than previously reported.
Perhaps if they had jobs they could take care of it themselves.

Question authority. Power to the people
Simple answer for a complex issue. Where are all of these jobs that are available for the unemployed?
There is definitely scum in America that take advantage of the system. There is also people wanting to work and take care of their families but can't find a job. This is today's America.
Why is the word "handouts" bad to you? This is what America has become, an entitelment country. Thats what you voted for. I don't agree with this direction but that doesn't mean you shouldn't.
Handouts is a conservative word that belittles people who receive any kind of government assistance. My parents receive Social Security and they would be included in the '47%' that receive government benefits. They both worked for over 30 years and I don't look at them as receiving 'handouts'.
Your posts are too simplistic for such a complex and difficult issue. I vote for what I think is best for America. You vote for what is best for you.
"Handouts" is the phrase some Republicans are clinging to make them feel better about the election. They can't admit that a majority of normal people would disagree with them so they try to demonize them. They have convinced themselves that everyone who voted for Obama is a lazy leach on society who doesn't hold a job, lives off welfare, and are the main reason for the deficit. They actually believe this.
Shhh, didn't you know, 50% of the country are worthless parasites who jus want few stuff. Calling voters names is the Republican strategy to win their votes.
I'm still wondering why he considers money they are getting back after they originally worked for it to be a "government benefit"
Wait, so people get happy when things are going well and sad when things are shit? Hmmm
What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...
Did you not see 'for over 30 years'? It wasn't even the point of my subject. And the 'over 30 years' was in their respected professions.
