I'm not sure I understand the question. Is what really about the difference between hatred and derision? Why Ray Lewis gets less flak for invoking the word "God" than Tebow does?
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in.
Because everyone hates Florida/SEC football. Weird question to ask now considering Tebow will never start in the NFL again and his run of being ultra famous is basically over. This question would have been better about 2 years ago.
For the record, I've never hated Tebow and thought all the hate was strange.
I guess I wasn't buying the "we don't hate" Jesusy Christians, but will take it back as there isn't enough evidence here to say that.
I think the bottom line is simply Tebow does silly Jesusy things that average joe doesn't understand and Lewis killed some guys which cost him any respect. Killing someone is just more understandable than 25 years of abstinence.
