Hilary Rosen has ticked off every stay at home mom in the US

  • Wow, talked to some stay at home moms today that are pissed.

    What an idiot.

Today she got blasted by everyone on the left:
    1. Obama---"I have no patience for those who attack candidates wives."
    2. Michelle Obama
    3. Jim Messina
    4. Stephanie Coulter
    5. DNC

Only one to come to her rescue was on the right:lol
    1. Bay Buchanan

    Love these gems:

    1. "Ann Romney has never worked a day in her life."
    2. "Working women have to WORK --AND---raise children." (Actually your children are being raised by day cares, husbands, and TV's).
    3. "It's a LUXURY to be a stay at home mom."
    4. "Stay at home moms work INSIDE the home, not OUTSIDE the home."

  • I'm getting a kick out of this. The Republicans are pretending to be outraged and the administration is going all out to condemn those comments. President Obama even talked about how being a mother is the toughest job in the world.

Motherhood is not even close to being the toughest job in the world - especially when it's a stay-at-home mom. Sure, they have shit they have to do and it's important to raise children well, but it's not like it's tougher than working on an oil rig, building a skyscraper, or being on a bomb squad.

Moms are great, but if their job was really the toughest in the world, Mrs. Romney wouldn't have had five kids.

  • A woman's job is to stay home and raise children. Unfortunately Mrs. Romney paid Mexican nannies to raise her children, but that only emphasizes Mr. Romney's record as a job creator.

According to her son who was on Piers Morgan, she got up every day and cooked and cleaned during the week and then only had a lady come in once a week on the weekend.

what you just said here is wrong on so many levels.

To be clear, you said a womans job is to stay in the home and raise children, It is the responsibility of both parents to raise the child, also they did not have any nannies they had on woman who came and cleaned up about one a week, and noting else.

And he would certainly have no reason to lie about it, would he? The fact that the Romney's employ 5 maids is not germaine to the issue, is it?

So if being a stay at home mom millionaire is sooooo tough.... what does that say for most mom's who have to raise the children AND work a full time job? And without access to those financial resources virtually no one else has access to?

You need to quit believing everything you hear from any campaign or political party.

that would be one more woman to come in once a week than my mother with 3 children had, one more than my wife's mother had with 4 children and even one more than a friend's mom had and he is #5 of 9 children.

If you want to believe Mrs. Romney ever struggled worrying about having more month left than money then you like stories. She is a nice lady who met her future husband while both were in high school (she was at The Kingswood School which was the sister school to Cranbrook where Mitt graduated). She converted to LDS when she was 17. She knew she was marrying the son of a millionaire early on.

Please don't try to portray her as the female equivalent of Jack The Matchstick Boy.

Agree 100%. Staying home and raising kids is work, but it's a stretch to say that its "hard" work or harder than other jobs. Changing diapers, cooking, cleaning, driving the kids here and there...there's a reason these are low paying jobs if you were to hire someone to do them.

And here's my question: Did Ann Romney go get a job AFTER she was done raising kids?? Or is she still picking up after them all day? Or is she just a full-time grandmother now? And if she's a full-time grandmother, why aren't her daughter-in-laws taking care of their own children?

Yeah, this is all a bunch of nonsense. When we had our first kid, we decided that my wife would stay at home and raise the kids until they started school full time. When our second/last kid entered 3rd grade, my wife returned to work part time. By the time he was in 5th grade, my wife started working full time. So you can do BOTH.

Did Ann ever try to get an outside job, which would qualify her to give economic advice to her husband?

who was it that said Obama had pissed off EVERY Catholic a few months ago? Same shtick, different name? The guy is one hell of a pollster.

This controversy will last about as long as Newt GIngrich's lead in the primaries.

This is true. Now since the democratic party looks to cover their butts, the media will let this slide. Just the opposite about the republicans taking away women's birth control. This is still a hot topic for the media. All about politics, and nothing more.

Your examples are tiny expenses compared to health care costs, home & auto loans, groceries, utilities, etc. Plus your examples are only getting cheaper because they are technology.

Hopefully she also took the time to make herself pretty for her husband when he got home. I like to say a short prayer when I hear the electric gates open, then be ready to greet him at the door with a smile and a gentle spirit.
