I would have the same "number of rights" (btw, how many are there?) as everybody else.

Again, if heterosexual marriage were banned by law, would you have the same number of rights you currently have? I don't know why that's so difficult to answer.

Always the end game of the leftist:

    RACIST!!

    BIGOT!!!!!

Usually played when said leftist has run out of ideas.

Always the end game of RQA:

    HOMOPHOBE!!

    MISOGYNIST!!!!!

Usually played because RQA is offended by words, but doesn't care about rights (as long as they're the rights of others).

  • Bhow does being against gay marriage make you a bigot? My gay brother knows I am not for it and somehow he respects my thoughts on the matter.

This country was built by people who worked hard then went home and had just a few too many every night. Then went back to work.

Please explain why you think a homosexual shouldn't have the right to marry the person of his or her choosing.

If "homo marriage" were legal and "hetero marriage" banned we would be living in some alternative universe. Care to try an analogy from the real world?

Sure...suppose you were not allowed to marry the person you love, but other folks were allowed to marry the people they love...would that seem fair to you?

Because I believe it's to be between a man and woman. Simple as that. It does not make me bigoted. It just means I have an opinion. If I hated gays then you would have a point.

So you believe it because you believe it. That's simple, sure, but it's not really giving me any information. It's like saying that redheads shouldn't be allowed to drive cars, then explaining your belief by saying, "I believe driving is for blondes and brunettes."

Why do you believe marriage should only be between a man and a woman?

Iyou skipped past the point. The point is just because you hold the stance doesn't mean you are a bigot.

Sure. It could be that you're gay and you're against gay marriage because your partner wants to get married and you don't.

But if you just say that you're against gay marriage, you're not a bigot, and that's that - don't expect everybody to just accept it without question.

That isn't what I said. But your response is typical of this place.

You haven't actually said anything other than you're against gay marriage and you're not a bigot. Taking the time and effort to explain your position is apparently too much for you - so why bother to post in this place?

  • I have no problem people saying they do not want people of the same sex to marry. People have that freedom to say what they want.

I do have a issue when people want to ban the person opportunity to marry. This goes against the person inalienable rights that was one of the founding ideas behind the United States. Now if people want to argue that the government should get out of marriage all together (with giving family tax breaks, right to visit in a hospital, etc) then I am all ears.

RQA will probably keep dodging. Not that it really matters; people like RQA and SBSpartan are slowly becoming anachronisms in this country.

It isn't difficult to answer. I answered it. Now you may not like my answer but that is not the same as not answering it.

Evidently you are looking for some exact number of rights. I asked you how many there were. You have refused to answer that in any fashion.

No, not always the end game for me. In fact it rarely is. However you have shown yourself in recent posts to be both.

Oh, and I care very much about rights.

The law already states that there are people you can't marry even if you love them. I don't think this is really about "fairness" is it?

Was your answer "yes" or "no"? I didn't ask you to give me a number or some deflective gibberish. But you dodged, because you're a dishonest person who can't defend his position. Weak.

Sorry, buddy - it's clear that the only rights you care about are your own.

I favor equal rights for homosexuals - including the right to marry whom they choose to marry. I favor equal rights for women - including the right to not be subjected to invasive medical procedures against their will.

And you don't. But when you see the words "effeminate" or "pussy", you get all offended. And you're not offended on behalf of anyone else; you're just offended because you're a pussy about words.

The percentage of Americans who can't stand the thought of two gay dudes getting married is dropping. It has been for quite some time, and it will almost certainly continue...just like the percentage of Americans who can't stand the thought of a black person marrying a white person.

How predictable! The famous "yes or no" Pervis ultimatum. Always follows an answer to one of his questions that he doesn't like! lol

Nobody has the "right" to marry whom they choose to marry, heterosexual or homosexual.

Do you favor mandatory immunizations? Do you favor a mandatory VDRL prior to marraige? Do you favor mandatory HIV testing of a hospital patient from whom a health care worker is accidentally exposed to bodily fluids?

Your concept of "rights" is fairly bizarre.
