It means I'm pretty well aware of the laws surrounding this case and am watching it with interest. No more, no less.

So MY supposed "ideological" leanings are affecting my judgement, but your admitted ideological leanings are having no affect.

You are a child and suck at debate. Congrats.

I think that's an adequate summary of our postings in this thread, yes. lol

Look, it's cool. Like you said, you never claimed to be open minded about anything. I think that's the most accurate, honest thing you've said all week.

I'm not familiar with Florida law.. but typically 1st degree murder is dependent on premeditation..

not sure you can get too much more than "premeditated" by stalking an unarmed kid while you have a loaded gun.. calling 9/11 to warn them about a scary black kid armed with Skittles.. and having the 9/11 operator tell you to stop following him..

Yeah, it's a tough call. He's being tried for 2nd degree murder. But I believe 1st degree is still an option, if the evidence points the jury in that direction.

Ah - misread it. That was Bob that stated that.

Yeah, see, you can't even follow what's been said on a SINGLE page of the thread, but claim to have a handle on what I've been posting through 47 pages.

This isn't the first time you've pulled this kind of shit. Tell you what, when you are ready to pull your head out of your ass, think before you post and make informed substantive comments, let me know. Until then, do everyone a favor and just STFU.

    Thanks gun

Yeah, keep thinking clearly and logically there, slick. It's clear you're on top of this. roflmao

I knew you wouldn't just admit your mistake and move on.

Little man. No wonder you need those guns to make up for shortcomings. Too bad your overcompensation won't lead to real world results, kid.

How was my previous post stating that I misread it not admitting a mistake?

I was in a hurry and misread the statement Bob made and attributed it to you. I humbly throw myself at your mercy. I should have never tried to credit you with honesty or acute self awareness. Please forgive me, and allow me to move past this most grievous of errors.

    Better? wink_msu

In all seriousness - you seem a little grumpy this week. I hope you take some time to relax and find some inner peace this weekend. cheers

    TravelinMan

  • And getting back to the topic of Zimmerman's case against NBC - for all of you who think he doesn't stand a chance in hell, Google yourselves "Richard Jewell." A few of his suits were dismissed, but he also settled out of court with quite a few defendants, as well.

I'm good. But you seem to have a real hard time just saying "I made a mistake, sorry.". I know a lot of women who have the same problem. Your passive aggressive approach to posting is a little off putting, sorry if my reaction makes me seem "grumpy".

Maybe in the future just think twice before claiming you have a handle on a person's opinion over 47 pages, if you can't follow a single page. And hey, if this was the first time you pulled this immature B.S., it wouldn't be a big deal, but you do it often. But no worries, I'm the forgiving type, you can start adding substance or I can put you on ignore. It's on me, rest easy.

I make no promises. My small band of loyal followers are often amused at my quips. I'd hate to deprive them of that.

And I know the chances of me caring about what you think of me are zero. So we've got that between us...

But you do what you have to do there. I'll live with the consequences.

I don't think the Richard Jewell/George Zimmerman comparison is all that relevant..

Again - serious question - why not?

Admittedly there are some obvious differences but they both involve the "innocent until proven guilty" being tried in a court of public opinion by the media.

I realize promises of actual content would be difficult for you to make, but if you truly don't care about my posts, maybe YOU should put ME on ignore. Problem solved. You stop getting your ass kicked like a tin can and your loyal followers cyclops can still enjoy your witty banter.

Bonus: One less poster to read will make these confusing thread pages that much easier for you to follow! lol

NBC never claimed Zimmerman was guilty of a crime or that the police were close to convicting him for anything.

Richard Jewell was working security at Centennial Park when the bomb went off.. that's it.

George Zimmerman had a loaded gun and was stalking an unarmed black kid.. even called 911 to report the kid for being guilty of "walking while black".. 911 advised him to stop following Trayvon...

Zimmerman was so afraid of Trayvon being on foot while armed with Skittles that he (Zimmerman) approached him and ended up shooting and killing him.. by his own admission....

    not quite the same.

But the case against NBC won't be about the circumstances of Martin's death. It will be about (allegedly) prejudicial, (allegedly) deliberately altered media being released to the public.

Hey - I'm not a lawyer, and I don't play one on TV. I'd be curious to hear from a legal expert on it, if we have any.

    not quite the same.

And what the media said about Jewell (basically that the police/FBI had already decided he was guilty), is not even close to what the media has done concerning Zimmerman.

Well, yes, he did kill a guy, but in the court of law, that should have little to do with the actual case against NBC. If they altered photos and edited tapes - I think it could be an interesting case.

But I understand why someone of your opinions might not be able to objectively look at it and find it interesting.

Yep, and add ABC to the mix of all the racist media organizations that tried to frame a Hispanic with their edit hatchet job of the photos taken when he arrived at the police station. Hopefully he doesn't get greedy and settle for a big number, he needs to go for the jugular and make the MSM pay for their corrupt practices used to generate higher ratings.

If he can get a big number and take care of himself and his family, more power to him. I'd love to see the MSM exposed for what they are, but that's a pipe dream. The average American isn't smart enough to even know they're being duped.

Yes I agree, I would not expect anybody in his situation to pass on a generous offer...when I say I hope he doesn't I'm speaking from our perspective only
