That's a shame. If they are in love the pastor should not only have married them the whole congregation should've been celebrating with them.
That said, how the heck could the couple have planned the wedding, sent invitations, printed programs, etc., without having even met with the pastor?

It sounds like they had met the pastor who had no problem with marrying them but the rest of the congregation threatened to fire him if the wedding wasn't moved.
