Now Fact: Obama was a member of a communist organization

  • GRR Spartan said...

"If that in fact is the case."

    That's great CYA.

If this was the case the GOP would have been crying this from every montain top and church steeple across the country in 2008.

compound the Wells Hall version of Tail Gunner Joe or Roy Cohn (you decide). If you take this tripe seriously I have some movies of Joe Biden stealing hair plugs you can buy.

Did any of you read the rebutal? compound is probably the biggest red scare artist on Wells. He very well could be that goof who used to have his own public access show in Lansing in the early '80's.

Posts like C2's create the excuse for any far far left post on the board....at least us leftys don't make stuff up...we just tell the truth about the righties and that is strange in itself...

I'm just curious why all the deflecting?

Can't a lib just comment on the topic?

Would love to know, do you care that Obama joined a communist party? If that in fact is the case.

A better question is why would you care? He's the President of the United States, a former U.S. Senator and a former Illinois State Senator; he has a record on nearly every issue. A politician's record is much more important than a label attached to him - no matter if the label comes from himself or from hysterical opponents.

    Dude, really?

    1. Do I care about this? No, I don't. This so-called scandal is 4 years old and this new info doesn't do much to change things.

    2. If Obama wanted to be a communist, why didn't he just join THE Communist Party, as opposed to A communist (according to Compound) party?

This entire piece is hysterical (in every sense of the word). Frankly, I haven't laughed at anything else today as much as I did at the piece. I was skimming by the end, but I didn't see anything that these people actually proposed. What, specifically, did they propose? I know that the New Party was a super-radical, ultra-extreme, hard-left, LEFTIST party because this guy and Compound say that it was, but what was their actual platform?

If you would have actually read the entire piece, you'd know that it claims the main goal of the New Party is "to move the United States steadily closer to European social democracy" and hosted events with the likes of Frances Fox Piven.

Obviously that in and of itself doesn't prove any kind of formal communist practices by the group, but it was apparently far enough out of the mainstream for Obama, his campaign, and the former party leaders to lie about his involvement in it.

What involvement? The "party" which is not a party endorsed President Obama...he didn't endorse them...

They are not and were not a "party"...they are an association of like minded people supporting left (but not far left, they are anti-socialist) ideas...

I did read the peace and you didn't answer my question at all. I asked for specifics and you gave none. That they want to move towards European-style social democracy tells me nothing regarding specific proposals.

Sorry chief, I wasn't a member. All I know is what was included in the link. But it's kind of interesting that multiple people, including Barry himself, completely lied about his involvement with the organization, don't you think?

Were Obama to call himself a communist, I'd say he's a pretty bad one.

If he called himself a liberal on the economy, I'd say he's a pretty bad one. Obama's just a stooge for multi-national corporations. Allowing the right to smear him as a "socialist" is just another sign of his cowardice.

Yup. Either he's a coward or this country needs to grow up and drop the hysteria over non-threatening "radically leftist" groups such as the one in question.

This is not opinion, this is now proven FACT.

I've always maintained that it is pretty obvious Obama is a socialist, communist, what-ever you want to call it. His rhetoric about spreading the wealth, his pastor, his actions of taking over banks and car companies, the communists that raised him, all his radical associations etc, etc. Frankly, it would be shocking if he wasn't a communist. Now we have rock solid evidence from the minutes of the "New Party" in Chicago that Obama was a member of this organization and requested an endorsement from the organization (not to mention that his campaign lied when in 2008 they denied that he was a member of this communist organization)

Now I know the usual suspects will spin their usual excuses......this was 10 years before he ever ran for the Presidency, just because he was a member of a communist organization doesn't mean he is a communist, you're a Mccarthyite, John Birch Society, blah blah blah blah blah.

The REALITY is that Barrack Obama was a member of a communist organization. This is now proven fact. This is not my opinion. It is now fact. This is because he is a communist. Communists join communist organizations. Just like how gun lovers join the NRA or how conservatives join FreedomWorks. No different. I will happily accept apologies from all liberals on this board (with the exception of GRR and R.P. McMurphy)

Interesting article, thanks for the link.

I don't care what party he joined. I am more concerned about his skillful ability to lie to the American public. He wouldn't know the truth if it hit him in his big stupid head.

  • It's really pretty simple people. Barack Obama is going to be the President of the United States of America at least until January 20, 2013 (barring unforeseen circumstances). If you don't want him to be in office after that date, vote for someone else on November 6. There aren't any magical documents or events from his past that are out there that will disqualify him from office.

FYI...I did not vote for B.O. and I don't plan on voting for B.O. this fall.

I think it is relevant what a candidate believes.... it's pretty simple...

If you think his record as senator is relevant you are, IMHO, misguided..... that's the lipstick on the pig to get into a position to drive his own personal agenda....

Unfortunately, I find Obama to be fully capable of misleading the populous knowing his true agenda would not get him elected...... instead his record (which consists of more present votes than actual yeas or nay's) would not be a predictor of hi true nature.

A Second term, unfettered by an impending re-election could be disastrous.....
