A couple clarifications to this thread. When compared to Republicans, Obama is only marginally better (in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king). He is equally in the pockets of the major corporations as every other politician in Washington. Perhaps even more so by Wall St. than most due to his complete lack of oversight and criminal prosecutions.
Obama is not conservative, he is fascist, much like most Republicans. From merciless predator drone attacks (some on American citizens and teenagers (link) to the NDAA, he has carried out the Bush wars and civil rights abuses with the same zeal. He is now building up his own media drive of disinformation to attack Iran like Bush did with Iraq and the WMD's. These drone attacks make me sick. The targeted assassination of US citizens and the wanton killing of Muslims is beyond immoral, it is truly evil. Who is the bad guy in the world today?
We have not had a signed budget in over 3yrs. Pathetic! This a demonstration of his poor leadership. Yes, Congress is also responsible, but Obama is the President. Even a halfway decent president would be able to lead in way that gets something done. Instead we have an economy that has accumulated $4T in debt in 3 yrs. How can the economy not show signs of improvement?
Overall, Obama has been a terrible president and given 4 more years, he will be looked upon as worse than Bush. Mark my words.

Considering the fact that no same person will deny that the Republians in the House & Senate totally ignored thier oath to uphold the Consitution and instead vowed to destroy the United States of America in thier mainical lust for power (lead by Newt, who else) Obama has done very very well with the economy.
As I feared, this campaign is going to set records for negativity...

Obama is no Liberal, that's for sure. Where would we be had McCain been elected? Well, I think McCain would have let Gm and Chrysler go into a liquidation bankruptcy rather than the managed one Obama helped them through. We'd still be in Iraq wasting blood and money. Not sure if McCain would have renewed the search for Bin Laden like Obama did, but if he had there is little doubt McCain would have ordered the raid that killed him too. Doubt if McCain would have cut taxes for the middle class, instead he would have had tax cuts for the investor class to try to stimulate the economy. There would have been little to no stimulus, just more tax give aways to the rich so we'd likely be looking at a deeper recession and poorer job numbers.
Obama has increased spending by about 9% from what he inherited in Bush's last budget, 2009. I doubt McCain could have shown that much restraint and fiscal conservatism in the face of a 2nd great depression.
Obama was handed a pile of shit and an impossible to work with opposition. Could he have done better? Absolutely! Could he have been much much worse? No doubt about it!
Here are my grades: Economy B+ Jobs B Iraq A Afghanistan A War on Terror A Human Rights C- Civil rights D Budget B Domestic B+
Overall B He deserves 4 more years to finish what he started.

If the Republicians were trying to actual be Americans he could have done much much better...
That was a very painful rant to read. Maybe you should apply for a job with moveon.org

I was thinking the same thing. If I had only had profs like him, especially one who thought Obama was doing a B or better on jobs and the economy. I would have been a frickin valedictorian.
