Obama - We Tried Our Plan, and it Worked!

  • Sounds like the President has been meeting with the Choom Gang lately. His old dealer Ray must be scoring some outstanding bud....

Obama on the economy: ‘We tried our plan — and it worked’ | WashingtonExaminer.com

Discussing his economic policies at a fundraiser in Oakland, California, last night, President Obama, told supporters that “we tried our plan — and it worked.”

  • Of course his plan worked.....unfortunately not for the useful idiots, though, who will still vote for him falsely believing he has their best interests in mind. Now if this country is as racist as many portray it to be, the polls might be skewed and Romney could win in a landslide, but I doubt that to be the case

  • roflmaoWorked?? Was his plan to destroy the economy as we have known it for the last 70 years?? If so..then yes...it worked.roflmao

  • I love that there are people among us that actually voted for this clown and they have the gall to lecture us on ANY other candidate. The guy that changed my oil last week could have done better. This unreal script never ends...

  • Wow, that is fing scary.

  • What does Obama know that the rest of us don't? This type of arrogant rhetoric which is nothing more than taunting....the "promise" to Medvedev about his next term....I pray there aren't any shenanigans with the awful decision made to outsource the online voting duties to Spain

  • have any of your Federal taxes risen in the last 3.5 years?

How many of you living in MI think MI would have been in better shape without the GM/Chrysler bailouts?

Michigan would have been better off.

GM would have opened the next day under bankruptcy and had to take real steps to be a strong company. As it is the artificial and illegal actions taken by the government simply kicked the can down the road.

GM will only have to do it again.

    lolFrom the article:
"Obama’s view of the economy is not shared by congressional leaders in his own party. “The economy has not recovered,” Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., said in a recent interview. “Some people call it a recession, I think it’s a depression.”

Waxman’s message might not inspire enthusiastic cheers at a campaign rally, but at least he avoided having a Mission Accomplished moment on the economy."

    lars

  • Thank goodness his plan "worked" because I can't even imagine what our economy would be like if it failed. One thing about liberals, no matter how great the failure, they will embrace it and call it a success. Next thing you know Obama and Prevert will be claiming we won the "war on poverty".roflmao

Sorry, GM and Chrysler back. Michigan is as well after being in a bigger hole than most of the country. I don't think most Michiganders will thank Mitt with their vote (pretty sad given his roots). The can is not kicked down the road. Both companies viable and workers providing for their families.

Thank you Mr. Short-Term, Dr. Feel Good. We all want GM and Chrysler to win. But when you inject private-sector flunkies from the Federal Govt into anything related to Capitalism/Competition/Effort/Will to Win - it is doomed to fail.

Both companies have very able-bodied and smart people - Go Bankrupt, learn from your mistakes, and come back stronger than ever. That is the American Way.

If you disagree - Go buy a Volt for $40K.

GM and Chrysler are a shell of themselves. Do you realize how many employees of those companies lost their jobs? Have you taken a look recently at their dealerships? And now you announce Michigan is back? Awesome...how did I miss that?

Both companies indebted to the taxpayer, leveraged to the hilt and propped up with withholdings taken from you and your family. Nice job.

I have to think you were in grade school in 2008...

GM & Chrysler would not have opened their doors the next day under bankruptcy because they didn't have the money needed to pay their employees and the light bill...and in the 2008 crash there were no banks which could step in and lend them the money...the banks had stopped lending money...so the financing needed to allow them to go into bankrupcy and keep operating wasn't availible. The money Bush provided to keep the doors open and then the money President Obama provided to pay for the bankruptcy (it seems you are not aware that they did declare and execute a bankruptcy) was required because there was no private money that could be used due to the crash and credit freeze.

Do the unicorns have wings in your fantasy land?

Without the government bailout of GM - The State of Michigan would've had 25% unemployment. Translation: Depression.

Depending on which UE rating you are talking about I think the closing of the doors for the Car companies and their suppliers probably would have caused more than 25% UE.
