Obama doubles down on blame and tired ideas for the economy

  • odd how you don't hear the similarity in Mitt Flips explanation og his 4 years as MA gov and President Obama's explanation.

I know you still think all we have to do is have massive spending cuts, raise tuition/fees/licensing for everyone like your idol Mitt did in MA and it will al be better.

What goes on in Europe will have a lot more to impact on the US economy than either President Obama or candidate Romney

Still waiting for the Bush2 tax cuts to turn around the economy.

That's quite a receipe for economic failure. It's like a blueprint to turn into Greece

There is no feasible way that the US could turn into Greece. We control our own currency, they don't. We have exports, they don't. Our GDP is 50 times the size of Greece's. Our debt to GDP is about 60% of Greece's. The whole "We're going to become Greece" is just a load of bullshit from people ignorant in macroeconomics.

It's much more likely that we become Japan who has a debt to GDP ratio about double ours. But that's not going to scare anyone is it?

How about reduce government involvement in the market place. Extend the Bush Tax Cuts for at least a year and reform the tax code to give everyone lower effective tax rates and fewer deductions. Reforming corp tax code for long term certainty. Repeal obamacare and reform medicare and social security and govt pensions to get the debt heading in the right direction. Pass a balanced budget. All those things would help and even Clinton supports some of those ideas.

You want to "give everyone lower effective tax rates"? Just a few weeks ago, you were complaining that the poor and middle class weren't paying enough. You seemed really upset about how "unfair" it was. What caused you to change your mind?

Yet everyone of them will vote for Romney over Obama.

Exactly. The grandfather of Obamacare so disgusts teapartiers that they're all going to run out and vote for him. Shows how committed they are to libertarian principles.

  • Why don't liberals like Romney? They always state how he is one of the same man. shrug

  • lars and his tired old Greece bullshit. For a smart guy he sures knows how to repeat the same old tired lies over and over again.

Only head in Mitt's ass lars could equate Greece with the USA with a straight face. Greece with its population that's 2M smaller than IL and its tiny economy that hasn't done an effective job of collecting taxes because of graft with the US economy.

lars thinks all of us are as dumb as the mouthbreathers that believe every word spewed on FoxNews and from the RNC.

Pervert. lower effective tax rates with few or no deductions and a total tax reform. We would not be using the same broken system that allows certain people not to pay any taxes. This would mean lower effective tax rates before deductions for most people but also that most everyone would pay something. Deductions would be completely or mostly eliminated in exchange for lower tax rates than we currently have.

So you still want to raise taxes on poor and middle-class people? It used to be that conservatives favored cutting taxes, but I guess that's not true anymore.

You made it very clear you don't care if taxes are fair, so why are you whining about it now?

Whining? I didn't even offer an opinion on the matter. Why does it bother you conservatives so much that fairness isn't my main concern when it comes to taxes? I want a tax code that grows the middle class and allows those who spend a greater percentage of their income to keep a greater percentage. When those in the middle and on the bottom have more to spend, they'll spend more. Getting wrapped up in subjective ideas of "fairness" distracts from the goal of a tax code that stimulates the economy and creates more opportunities for more people. You go ahead and wring your hands over whatever you think is "unfair". It's just not for me.

Yeah, we should use your failed ideas again and expect different results. Talk about someone who just doesn't get it. Giving more money to the already rich does zero to stimulate or grow the economy. The problems in Greece clearly demonstrate that conservative economic policies do not and never will work. Face it, you haven't got a clue.

    Greece

Right lars. Are you busy putting out Romney yrad signs too.

Greece. You bet. That's why this week the US dollar gained vs the Euro and even gold lost ground because the world is scared shitless the US is going to end up like Greece.

Maybe its time you actually look at Greece's history and quit beliebeing every word out of Boehner's and Cantor's mouth that you here on FoxNews

What a pile of dung. You'll be pitching for the Cubs before the US economy looks like Greece. Greek unemployment is over 20% since the austerity club led by Germany laid down the rules. The US unemployment is at 8.1% which is higher than we need for a robust economy but really Greece?

Greece? We aren't as ready to believe every RNC email that rolls into our inboxes.

So other than his skin color or the fact he is running as a Democrat what did you mean?

Because you declare it as racially offensive doesn't make it so, so knock it off. I get sick and tired of people that must create a new lexicon because they don't have a counter. My brother in law is black, my nieces are black, their children are black. They love me and I love them all dearly. You simply don't get to label me to make it easier to argue with me.

Your guy has no business running a hot dog stand much less leading a country. He is a fool, he is failed, he is in over his head and it has nothing to do with color or party affiliation. If the only way you can defend this failed clown is to call me racist, well that is the best way to end the conversation. Nice job.

    MasonDelhiGuy

  • As I said what you posted could be considered rasist.

First you said basically, "I didn't need to learn anything at all about him, JUST BY LOOKING at this clown you can see that he is not qualified"

Certainly the use of the word "clown" could be considered offensive but if you had said "After learning about ths clown" it would have been less open to racial connotation...however your "just by looking" along with "clown" most likely interpertation is racist...anyone with a brain would see this.

Personally I am annoyed when people use race baiting in this fashon, that is to say use coded messages, although often more subtle than what you posted, and then protest their innocence when the racial conotation of what they post is called out.

President Obama is African-Americian. You need to be aware of this when posting and be careful with your language if you do not wish to be consided rasist. It matters not wheither you are or not as on a message board your words "speak" for themselves.

This really shows the inherent racist hypocracy of the liberal mind. You must treat black people differently than white people or you are a racist. Hmmm, shouldn't we treat all people the same regardless of color?
