President Obama Nearly Doubles Bush’s Jobs Numbers

  • It is good to know that given the pill of crap he walked in to door to find that Bush had left behind he has improved things everywhere...but it probably will not make our resident skills for the Republicians like Bullwinkle & Lars (and others too idoitic to mention by name) happy....

The Real Job Creator: Obama Nearly Doubles Bush's Jobs Numbers

Facts are not on the conservatives side, as the numbers reveal that Obama has created nearly double the amount of jobs that George W. Bush did.

  • How about compare the unemployment rates? The average under Bush was around 5%, which means it was harder to create jobs.

Not sure I buy that logic...how does the UE rate which everyone knows is all about the ratio of people on UE have much to do with job creation - expecially in the private sector which is what this is about...

...we are all being told that the job creators are not creating jobs now because their are scared and when Bush was screwing things up they were creating jobs like popcorn because they were so happy...since they are scared to create jobs now President Obama's recond is even more impressive...

  • The fact that you believe the President has any meaningful influence over job creation leads to one of two inevitable conclusions:

    1. You're incompetent.
    2. You're a liar with an agenda.

I'll leave it to the citizenry of Wells to decide which it is.

Hmmm...then you can't blame the economic conditions on the President or the rest of the government...at least using your statement above...so you cannot blame either party for current conditions...yet I think you do...this is not consistant...

He can influnce the economy in a number of ways...one thing might have been the Stimulus which reduced UE by about 2% in 2010/2011...so that should count...other things are the policies which create confidence in the predictability of outcomes....President Obama has done hios best while the Republicinas have done their best to create uncertanty...in any case, fair or unfair, the President is judged by the economy and the number of jobs created...

Best President Ever. He's done an amazing job turning the failed Bush economy around. Plus, he killed Bin Laden and has kept us safe from terrorism. Unbelievable clap.

I would say the President has meaningful influence over all sorts of laws, including those that affect the economy.

in addition, he has done so while cutting the number of public sector jobs - you know, "takers" according to box of rocks.

The President only submits a budget, it's Congress that votes on it. As far as creating a massively bloated government that hemorrhages money, I blame them (both parties). The rest of the blame goes to the federal reserve for manipulating the forces of our economy through their monetary policies. The only use bringing a President into the mix has is as a benchmark of time during which the events transpired (i.e. this occurred during the Bush presidency from 2000-2008).

    hexydes

  • The only way to make Obama's numbers look good is to move the goal posts.

FACT: Number of Americans with jobs Feb 2009: 141.7 million
FACT: Number of Americans in the job pool: 234.9 million
    -----
FACT: Number of Americans with jobs Apr 2012: 141.8 million
FACT: Number of Americans in the job pool: 242.7 million

So even though there the number of Americans who could potentially be employed grew by almost 8 million Obama has only grown 100,000 jobs.

If the Labor Force participation rate was the same in April 2012 as it was in February 2009 the UE rate would be over 11%.

Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?
