Question for Republican Supporters

You continue with your lies. Obama had massive majorities in both houses of Congress for two years and did nothing. Accept it and move on.

You continue with your lies...it takes 60 votes to move throught the Senate...Obama never had it...typical lack of knowledge on your part...

That's total BS and you know it. Which of Obama's massive initiatives were filibustered by the GOP? How come he never even passed his legislation through the House to put pressure on the Senate? The GOP had only 41 votes and a half dozen were RINO's like the broads from Maine who could be bought off at any time. Again....accept it and move on, your boy punted and failed massively. No wonder your party was wiped out in the 2010 elections.

That is total BS and you know it...sure the RINOs were bough off...by the right wing via threats to contrabutions for reelection...and the Democrats who are still a functioning political party expecting to work in a Republic and not in a Parlament have their own DINO's who are just as Republician as some Republicians...remember that the Guy from Conneticutt (Joe L) was almost McCains running mate...as to what was fillibustered...

Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada scaled back a bipartisan jobs bill, fearing that a larger package would get tied up in a filibuster. He also filed a "cloture petition," meaning he plans a vote to cut off a filibuster if one starts."

Nice try Gus, now explain why all of his vast initiatives never even passed the House. They don't filibuster there you know.

  • Gus, links and facts don't dissuade Bully from his alternate reality. It's worthless to argue with a guy with less intelligence than a beer coaster.

Along the lines of the original premise of this thread, I saw the head of the Tea Party Express on MSNBC this morning. She was strongly supporting Newt (though no official endorsement) and talked about the Tea Party was actually (allegedly) born out of their frustration of the GOP and the GOP establishment and how they were mad at the Establishment's role in the race and the Establishment was the real enemy here and they had to take the GOP back from them. When Alex Witt asked if they would run a third party candidate if the Establishment's choice, Mitt Romney, was the nominee she responded "oh no, we would support whomever the nominee is as the goal is the defeat Barack Obama." Such hypocrites.

fewer people on food stamps during the Obama Administration than during the Obama Administration, with a majority of those during the Obama Administration going on in the first few months, you know, during the crash caused by Bush. Though maybe you were off in the Detroit suburb known as Amsterdam when that happened and missed it. How many flights board in Detroit then land in Detroit? lol

    Just the facts.

    Fact check: Gingrich's faulty food-stamp claim – USATODAY.com

More people were put on food stamps under Bush than under Obama, according to the most recent figures.

There is an old definition of insanity: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Since the ideological shift in the Republican party in 1980, the U.S has elected three Republican presidents. During every one of those administrations, spending was increased, taxes were reduced, the deficit widened, and not only did debt increase but the rate of debt increase increased as well. And then, when they saw the effect on the deficit and debt, they started increasing taxes.

Why do you think electing a Republican this year would result in anything different??

    Just wonderingly yours,

You're right. It won't unless Ron Paul gets elected.

We already have a tax on the wealthy. We have a progressive income tax just like what Karl Marx asked for in "The Communist Manifesto". What more could you ask for?

Ummm...the GOP House never ran for election raving about the need to tax the wealthy and repeal the Bush tax cuts. That was your boys. They had a massive majority in the House for 2 years, how did they do on proposing and passing those tax changes to make the evil rich pay their "fair share"? Stop dodging.

You just can't admit they punted. Stop telling me about "quite a bit". I asked specifically on the critically important issue to you liberals of making the wealthy pay their fair share. How did they do passing that legislation? Stop dodging.

Your the one who is dodging...we started this with yousying that the Democrats have, in your words, overwhelming majorities in Congress and could pass anything they wanted to pass...when it was pointed out to you that the Democrats never had 60 votes in the senate and that the republicians filibustered a record nummber of bills you switched to asking why the house didn't pass one specific piece...pretty weak on your part...how come the currenbt house hasn't impeached Obama?

59 votes in the Senate, but they couldn't break a filibuster by buying off a single RINO senator? Is that what you're going to claim stopped Obama. Let's just a moment suspend reality and pretend it's true. What does that say about Obama as a leader, when many other presidents passed large parts of their agendas without majorities anywhere near that size or in the case of Reagan, without even a majority?

How many times did you vote for dubya? He put more people on food stamps than the current prez, so why would putting his clone in office be a better choice?
