RIP Andrew Breitbart

    Mmmmmmmmm.

Some Breitbart fans think the President had something to do with his death.

If anything I'd put my money on the little Weiner having something to do with it...he absolutely destroyed that guy

I'm entirely comfortable that if he can count those such as yourself among his critics, he enjoys the sleep of the just.

The question would be just where .

Right Mr. Gribble from the other board?

I said nothing of the sort. My where was a question to pot stirrer Viggo.

Here's my initial post on this thread:

"I didn't agree with his politics very often but its an awful tragedy for his 4 children and his wife.

Natural causes is always vague and can be used because a coronor can't can't specify.

He may have had an undetected heart condition, a brain tumor that's discovered in an autopsy. Anyway you cut it is Breitbart is dead at 43 He leaves a widow and 4 kids who had a father 24 hours ago"

If you can see anything there where I said anything about Hell you also see dead people. My sisters were 3 and 12 when my mother died. I have seen the loss of a parent up close and to his kids, Breitbart's politics didn't matter. To them dad had a job and dad's job meant he took trips and made speeches.

Now I think Breitbart was over the top as part of his delivery. He could be mean spirited and outspoken to get his message across. But none of that mattered to his 4 kids and is a minor issue to his surviving widow.

Yeah, you weren't implying anything here.....

had to be some sort of underlying cause.. which, to me, is different than "natural causes" - maybe the initial report of "natural causes" simply meant it wasn't a car accident or something like that...

poking fun at his arrogant post like he knows where people are going when they die other than to a cemetary or cramatorium.

So I suspect you are lucky enough never to have a parnet die when you and/or your siblings were still in elementary school. Its an awful feeling. I'm glad you never had to experience it.

I do wish you might have a scintilla of empaty but when you are dealing with someone who thinks Rush Limbaugh is a beacon of American thought I should never think of you as a poster who is an adult.

  • Some nice things being said about Breitbart here. Even by many of his adversaries.

I think that it's nice that they were able to show a grace that he never was.

It's funny that everyone is demanding that breitbart be shown respect after what he said about Ted Kennedy the day Kennedy died. My feelings for breibart are the same as his towards Kennedy.

the right wing nuts rally around one of their heroes:

Republican presidential candidates quickly responded to news of Breitbart's death. Former Sen. Rick Santorum called him a "powerful force" who was "constantly out there driving and pushing."

"What a huge loss, in my opinion, to our country and certainly to the conservative movement," Santorum said.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich tweeted: "Andrew Breitbart was the most innovative pioneer in conservative activist social media in America. He had great courage and creativity."

And former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney called Breitbart a "brilliant entrepreneur, fearless conservative, loving husband and father."

    Just reflecting on Breitbart's legacy:

Remember during the last election when he broke the story as the lead on his website for a week that a pro-Obama black guy was going around and carving a B into the woman's face with a knife (B for Barack Obama)? Then it came out that the story was a hoax, and that she carved it herself.... Which was determined because the B was reversed and thus obviously done in a mirror.

Mrs. LWS, please dust the cobwebs off your joints, throw some wd40 on there and cut the internet again so your inbred pile of spunk you call a husband stops making me believe the gene pool is shallower than previously thought.

  • The guy was not boring. That alone is reason to be saddened by his loss. The fact that there is a family that he used to go home to that will never see him again in this life is another reason to be sad.

Death doesn't work well as fodder for comedy.

It doesn't yet. But as we all know, comedy is nothing but tragedy, plus time. Take Lincoln for example, it wasn't funny at the time when he got shot, but now, we can make jokes about it. Tragedy, plus time.
