He doesn't deny that it happened; he just doesn't remember it.
Well, that makes sense, I guess. A bully is a bully on a daily basis, so that incident was just another day for him. Nothing extraordinary about it from his perspective.
But the kid who got roughed up, humiliated and had his hair cut off....he remembers that day.

Romney is his own worst enemy. I don't hold something against him that happened so long ago but he's lying when he says he doesn't remember. If you or I had done this to someone we knew in high school we sure as heck would still remember something this terrible. I was not a bully in school but I did a few thinks that I now regret and I sure as hell remember all the details.

You weren't going to vote for him anyway so I'm not sure he's worred about what you think of him.
So a guy can sit in Reverend Wright's church "every Sunday" (BO's words) for 20 years, and claim that the same Reverend who marketed sermons of his anti-american rants (thus obviously those Rev. Wright hought really made his points) can claim "That's not the Rev. Wright I knew" and you're good with that, but Romney's saying he doesn't recall this particular situation that occurred almost 50 years ago, well, that's just too much to take.
Got it.

I don't know the whole story of Obama and Wright but at minimum Obama denounced Wright. I have no personal dislike of Romney and I admired his father as Governor. What I dislike about Mitt is his complete failure to stand up for what he truly believes. In reality he's a centrist. Obama has made mistakes and I wish he was further left and would go after the Wall Street crooks that robbed this country blind but what he did this week regarding Gay marriage took a lot of political courage. Mitt would never do anything like this.

But O is being fake when he denounces Rev. Wright, those weren't positions Wright came to it is who he was during the entire 20 years O went to his church, if he didn't agree with it he would have quit going. Thus, O is every bit as fake and politically expedient as you now claim Mitt is being.
You don't like Mitt because you don't like conservative policies, fine, but don't claim that you take umbrage with a pol because he's tacking in a way that helps him politically. That just becomes impossible to defend on any level.

And what exactly did he do that was so courageous? Is he declaring an executive order to make it a federal issue? Or is he maintaining the status quo and leaving it up to the states to decide, in which 32 out of 33 states have decided that same-sex marriage is wrong?
Oh wait, he's courageous because he gave his opinion!!! OK, got it. What a courageous President we have woo-hoooo!!!

Words without action are pretty meaningless. If just giving his opinion is courageous then I think you have really low standards for the meaning of that word. The fact that you are apparently blind to the reasons he did this is really, really surprising because you appear to be a pretty rational individual
Why couldn't he have made this statement 1 day earlier? People look to the President for leadership, so his words could have been the difference in getting the North Carolina vote passed to allow for same-sex marriage.

Romney doesn't remember bullying a gay kid in 1965
