Voting Outrage!

  • Went to cast my vote for Mitt only to discover my voting place was a Catholic Church. And then they asked me for picture ID!!

I am outraged at this insult to my voting rights.

Why do you hate Christians and America?

  • While I was in there I was exposed to a large banner hanging in the hallway. I started reading it until I came to the word "God". I was so offended I stopped reading it and barely was able to compose myself to vote.

I think I will call my local ACLU and demand that that banner be taken town

You stopped reading too soon. I think it said "Godemocrats." It should have been 100 feet away from the polling station. Please return to the site with your tape measure and report back to us.

You misunderstood me, as usual. I said if I were YOU I would demand it be removed, but I'm not you so I wouldn't make the demand. I don't hate Christians, that's you.

You got let off easy. At the church I had to vote at, they were moving people asking for a democratic ballot to a separte booth with a big sign that said "REPENT, SINNER!!"

Right, cause there's no difference between a banner hanging in a church where adults are voting for their political party's nominee and a banner hanging in a school where kids are educated by the government.

I hate to get into this banner thing again because I think the girl should have left it alone in the first place, but man do you need to work on your comparisons.

  • Of course if RQA would have had his polling place in an area mosque his outrage would have been authentic.

  • Both involve the conduct of government business.

Why should people be exposed to a religious banner while conducting government business in either place?

Well in some States, I don't know about Michigan, party functions aren't government business, they're party business.

You're playing "gotcha" again, I refuse to believe you don't see the difference. I suppose there's a case it shouldn't be up IF the party function is government-run, but they circumstances are still very different. If you can't see that, it's not worth talking about it any more.

  • Another RQA question.
    Know why?

He doesn't have a clue on any answers.

Yo brainiac. The same polling places are used in general elections. Surely you aren't going to argue that this November elections aren't government business. lol

If you view it as strictly a party thing aren't you concerned that your party had their election there too? Don't you view it as a way to discourage the democratic vote? I mean, they are far less likely to know where the churches are than democrats, don't you think?

But, alas, my local Catholic Church is not used just for party elections. I go there to vote for Prez, Gov, millage and all other GOVERNMENT elections too.

Actually, you don't understand a thing. That is why you are so screwed up in your political and moral views. You and wixom lead sheltered lives and refuse to learn to think for yourselves instead of letting limppaw, glennie and billo do it for you.
