Spartans Add Another, Eh?

The 6-foot-6, 303-pound Bodanis’s only other offer was N.C State but he was receiving interest from Oklahoma, Miami (Fla.), Florida, Purdue and Nebraska.

Michigan State has gone out of the country for its latest addition to the Class of 2013.

Canadian James Bodanis is the 18th member of the Spartans recruiting class.

The University of Toronto (Ontario) defensive lineman James Bodanis will transfer to Michigan State. Bodanis visited East Lansing this weekend with his parents David and Iona Bodanis. This morning, Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio offered Bodanis a scholarship.

"Michigan State offered James Bodanis this morning," said Justin Dillon, said a sports consultant at Proto Scouting who works with Bodanis. "Bodanis accepted the offer and committed."

The 6-foot-6, 303-pound Bodanis’s only other offer was N.C State but he was receiving interest from Oklahoma, Miami (Fla.), Florida, Purdue and Nebraska. Bodanis will have to sit out the 2013 season due to the NCAA transfer rules but can participate in other team activities. The details on how many years of eligibility he has left are still unclear but we will follow up shortly.
